"Dark clouds gather above your head. The clip is nearly empty and you have run out of bread and clear water. You haven't slept since the last radioactive storm that made the dogs run amok. Your boots are soaked and the filth gets in your eyes. The stench of rotten flesh dampens your lonely spirit. Every inch of your body begs for you to leave the excluded zone. Will you come out alive if you continue in The Zone?"

Yesss, thanks a bunch for sharing these.

Btw: What AA setting do you use? I mean driver-wise, multisampling or supersampling?

AA x2

Might I add, 1x2 supersampling + 2x MSAA and 2x transparency supersampling seems to be the sweet spot at 1080p and 1152p. Easy to run and looks pretty much perfect.

I'm interested in this one too..

How to make this? Ingame - the only option is MSAA i guess? But that doesn't work (or at least doesn't look good), or?

So you have to do this in Windows? In Control Panel of your Graphic-card driver or in an extra program?

I have a Nvidia card and i looked over that Nvidia Inspector programm, but i did't get it to work..(at least with standard CoP).

@boredgunner: Am I right in assuming these are settings for nvidia cards? Cause I've got a AMD and in the Catalyst Control Centre you can only set the amount and method of AA. I can chose between MS, adaptive MS and SS. Oh and normal or edge-detect, do these translate to any of the nvidia settings? And if you force AA via the driver, what settings do you use in-game?

NVIDIA Inspector is how. For AMD, use Radeon Pro but I don't think you get as many options. I guess what you could try is 2x SS.

I use no in-game AA, and just force it externally (override).

Thx! Works fine. You only have to use "Enhanced full dynamic lightning" - standard. Not the DX10 / DX11 Version, then its working.

Is there a big visual difference between the DX9 -> DX10 -> DX11 - lightning model?

Thanks. Yep, 2xSSAA is what usually use, was just wondering about transparency supersampling and that kinda stuff. Might give Radeon Pro a look. Cheers

What would you set in Nvidia Control Panel?

Override application settings, 2x AA, and 2x super sampling for transparency seem to be the closest to what you mention. Is this the right combination?

I'd just download Inspector. But in control panel, 2x supersampling and 2x transparency supersampling is worth trying.

That's a very atmospheric place. Shame that after recovering the tools you can as well erase the place from your map...

Hence the reason why you won't find those tools in this place in version 2.0. We relocated them all for version 2.0.
You *may* find something else though... who knows

I survived a blowout in this place once in my last playthrough of cop a few years back. I had an old version of atmosphere merged with many other mods. The blowout lasted all night and I had to keep beating the anti-rad pills into me as some nearby stalkers turned into zombies or just exploded. A heavy duty suit and a load of bandages kept me from falling apart. The mark of the zone achievement actually meant something after I walked out of there. Then I went and got ****** with Cardan!

Xray powaaah! You guys outdone yourselfs with this one, mindblowing. After all these years, add some tweaks and features and the engine can still compete with the best of this generation. Hell, even with the next, easily. That's almost unbelievable.

Is it still a good idea to run this game in DX 10 rather than DX 11 for the sun shafts? Also, are you guys enabling AA in the game engine or are you forcing it through the control panel or third party tools like Nspector?

I am using two 4gig GTX 680's but I am not sure How I should go about applying AA to this game. If I remember correctly the 4X MSAA option in the game menu didn't seem to be working last time I played. Not really sure what I could get away with in this title.

I was able to run 1.0 on these high settings on my gtx 550ti but only got about 10fps. :( I really wish I could get a really good video card.

That has always been one of the things that puzzle me... And since you guys are working so much with the engine itself maybe you could finally resolve this puzzle for me.

CoP has a bunch of different render settings, are there actually many benefits to using the "better" ones? Or is it mostly additional PC load?

Should I bother with DX10/11 modes or should I do what somebody mentioned before and leave it at DX9 and then use nvidia panel to override the settings?

It would really be nice if the GSC programmers actually wrote out the benefits of using particular settings because as it is the biggest change when moving to higher settings is the load on PC, the actual graphical changes are a bit... muted?

I was wondering how much this would stress out my GPU more than Misery 1.0. I was able to run it at max with a 35-40 Fps average. Seems like you added a lot of new features. It's a shame this game doesn't run as expected with 3D Vision by Nvidia, it would have been stupendous. Also, is that dust floating in the first pic? My RIG: Intel® Core™2 Quad Q9505 3.2 OC (2.8); Nvidia GTX 470 core clock: 750 Mhz OC (600) ; 6 Gb RAM 1066 Mhz OC (800)

In misery 2.0 will we be able to change between each class in game or will we change in the games files?

For some reason we are very fortunate to receive that extra helping hand and support whenever we request it in public. We feel very privileged because of this.

You may remember us asking for assistance on the front page regarding the creation of an exe installer for upcoming MISERY 2.0.
ponney68 (his profile: Moddb.com) answered to our prayers and he succeeded on the exe design with a patched Stalker_COP exe file included for 3GB RAM enabling (also for Steam).

So this matter is solved now,
all thanks to ponney68/Yuya!
