Hello there fellow stalkers!

I have a question, and I hope someone can help. So, Im stuck, I cant start the quest to get Nitro to help with the subway to Pripyat. I have found all the documents (99,9% sure that I did), and the PDA tells me to talk to him. However, it didnt work. The first few times when I approached Nitro, choosing the dialogue option for the documents, he told me to go to the places mentioned in the documents (or something along those lines). After that, I dont even get the dialogue option and the pda still says to talk to him. I did pretty much all the quests so far, checked all the helicopters, did the quests for the scientists. What do?

Also, something else: Is there a way to make the enemies a little less accurate with their grenades? (And in general, a bit less accuracy and super-human awareness in the dark) Because their accuracy is absolutely ridiculous.
Now, I do understand that Misery is supposed to be hard, and I do like the difficulty. But their accuracy with grenades is just complete bs in my opinion. On several occasions I got killed by grenades, in complete darkness, while sitting behind a rock with only my head and rifle barely poking out, in black armor (that is supposedly good at night time camo), at distances exceeding 40-50m. Ill be honest, thats not fun and not realistic, thats a case of video game logic. Which makes the game more frustrating than it has to be. I do not mind getting shot from 100m by a guy behind a bush. But pin point accurate grenades, thrown over ridiculous distances, especially in pitch black darkness, thats too overpowered in my opinion. It sucks to lose in a game without being at fault for that. And when youre fighting against multiple enemies, youre getting spammed by nades constantly. And in the worst case youre on an open field with a few trees as cover at best. Staying behind a tree? Get blown to pieces. Try to move around? Get shredded by enemy fire.
Even if I manage to see the guy throwing the grenade, or see the grenade itself in mid-aid, in 7/10 cases I get blown to pieces, because as soon as you hear the grenade hitting the floor, its too late in most cases.

And my last question: Can the music on the radio be changed? I'd like to add some full songs and remove the songs that I dislike.
(No offense to the people who put the soundtrack together, but I absolutely cant stand cheesy, clichee-dripping and heartfelt songs like "Red Light - The Rumour Said Fire" or "Major Lazer - Get Free".)

Thanks!

Re: Grenades, NO, it's been beaten to death by one person with poor tactics after another. You will need to learn to MOVE after your position is given away, like you would in real life.

Music can be changed, the files must be prepared very carefully and properly formatted. If you search the forum in posts vs. threads and use the right key words you should find info or others who have done so. Note: if you stream any, your music must be DRM free or your stuff will be banned. There are also instructions to block the music (much simper) and you can just play your own playlists in the background outside the game.

IF you really have all the documents (on you, not left in some stash) and have had the requisite conversations with others, like the guide, Zulu?, you should have no problems unless you have been using Vanilla Quick and/or Auto saves and have corrupted your save stream. The pop-up note is there for a reason at installation. Rebinding the keys must be done with each new game, I believe.

"You will need to learn to MOVE after your position is given away, like you would in real life."
Thats exactly what I am doing, as far as the circumstances allow. Im not complaining about the usage of grenades by the NPCs. The issue is the super-human awareness, eyes and accuracy of the NPCs, allowing them to see you 100m away in the dark, behind a rock, after you fired 2-3 shots with a silenced rifle. I understand that the goal is to make the game challenging. The question is only whether the challenge is (at least somewhat) fair. Well, lets not beat a dead horse, the conclusion is that the grenade skills of the NPC cant be modified, right?

The music: Thanks, Ill check the forum.

The quest: A bit embarassing, but it turns out I was just being dense. Had the wrong document in my inventory and havent read the description.

Thanks for your help anyway!

As far as the engine is concerned, grenades are bullets. Bullets have perfect accuracy, it is weapons which have dispersion AFAIK.

No weapon is fully silenced, that's why they call them suppressors. Once you miss or fail to kill with the first suppressed shot, the nearest NPC notices the sound of the bullet striking whatever you actually hit, and instantly alerts everyone nearby in his faction putting the entire lot on maximum alert. Once alerted, most of any camouflage benefits go out the door. They will notice you and "Know" your exact location. If you don't kill with your first shot, you must move immediately.

I can only tell you what I tell everyone else, I have played well over 5000 hours of MISERY and only been killed by grenades a handful of times. If you are getting killed often, you must rethink your tactics. There are places you can't be hit with a grenade. NPC's kill themselves far more often than they kill me with them because they throw into sides of windows and doorways or into walls and blow them selves up.

Better a faux pas with documents than corrupted saves ;) No worries, it happens quite often.
