Hello everyone, I'm new around here I would like to play Misery 2.2 with the 3840x2160 resolution and I can run it quite well. A problem that I haven't found any fix for is to make it actually playable, which I think is not the case. The menu, the inventory and the fonts are not made for that kind of resolution. Everything is very tiny to read and when you open the inventory the mouse speed is super fast all of a sudden. So I wonder if someone could explain to me, what file I need to edit in what way, to change that. Thank you in advance. EDIT: Ok now I've found out, that when I change the resolution in the game, the cursor is too slow at first and after a restart, while keeping the 4k resolution, THEN it gets too fast. I have played in UHD for 2 years ... my mouse never acts up. Are you playing full screen? It could be monitor specific, I picked a TV that had pretty low lag for gaming. Here is a link to the fix: Dropbox.com There is a font fix pack out there. It is not perfect and things don't line up ideally. I got used to the smaller fonts as I don't need to read much. It was easier than dealing with using some of the buttons when the text was misaligned. Note: you can double-click on many items vs. having to hit the use key/button. |

Ok the mouse thing, I managed to fix now. But your instinct about the monitor was right, so thanks for that. That font fix, I also tried before, it crashed the game for me right away, I guess I installed it the wrong way. I was hoping to make it look as close to the 1080p ratio as possible, because I would like to record a playthrough and thought I could maybe downsample it from 4k to 1080p, so it still looks a bit better, but more people can stream a video in 1080p. |

One of the team has a very robust PC with a SLI GTX 1080 setup and at 4K, he still has fun getting steady 60 FPS frame rates at top quality for demo videos. To get the best steady frame rates, reinstalling AN4 with one of the shorter grass heights and draw distances will enable much better frame rates than the default AN4 settings included with MISERY (200m grass draw distance) with SO many new trees/bushes and all those millions of blades of grass, sun shadows and AA can murder your frame rates at UHD. I shopped really hard for my UHD TV/Monitor since I know lag can be a problem with many. I'm hoping someone will take up the gauntlet and polish that text fix so everyone can enjoy their UHD TV's to the fullest playing MISERY GSC probably never imagined such tech when xray engine and game were developed. |

I have only one GTX 1080 and I think the fps is ok with 4k. The Absolute Nature 4 trick, I already read before, somewhere on the forum. Let's see if I can get the creator of the font fix to take a look at it again. Not sure if that came out clear, but I want this to make a youtube video and improve the image quality of it, so when I say down sampling, I mean as a video file. |

I understand. If you can get the quality/smoothness you desire - great. Not all font sizes are supported for all fonts. I think the fonts were embedded in the .dbs files originally. If you look at the files included with the fix, it will tell you what files are edited. Use notepad++ with the compare add-in and you can compare the old and new files side-by-side, line-by-line. |
