A small WIP to fix bugs and bring more functionality to Last Day, regularly updated.
IMPORTANT:
- Always make sure to install this over english translation files.
- As of version (5.0), it won't work without official upate (2018/3/14), so don't use it on older versions.
- Install order: official update (2018/3/14) ► English Translations ► FCO (in case you're using it, don't forget to use the compatibility files below) ► this mod ► other mods
- Install (main files) first, then any optional tweaks you want.
- There is an included FAQ guide about common issues in Last Day, i suggest you to take alook at it.
- Credit goes to many modders, i used some of their tweaks & files in this addon because they're important (NamelessWanderer, Strelocc, VodkaChicken, v1ld)
Main files:
Install this before anything else, a collection of bug fixes and improvements. no new game is required:
► Options -> Gameplay:
(info and details about them can be found in the encyclopedia)
- Difficulty
- AI die in anomalies (stalker can die in anomalies)
- Debug map HUD (only for debug mode, shows location + info on all stashes/artifacts on map)
- Despawn old dropped items (under test, it removes any old dropped items later on)
- Exclusion Radius
- Full A-Life Simulation (activates the a-life system in all maps, possible hit on performance)
- Factor of money rewards (a multiplier that allows you to control the amount of money you get from quests)
- Factor of goodwill gain (a multiplier that allows you to control the amount of goodwill you gain or lose)
- Hardcore save: conditions (this save system won't let you save on bad injury/low health, bleeding, radiation or emissions. works perfectly with campfire saves option as well.)
- Hardcore save: Timer (beta) (this new save system allows you to save once a specific period is over. And once you save again, the timer will reset and you won't be able to save till the cycle is over. You can control the period of the saving timer (10,15,20 or 30 minutes)
- Thirst simulation (now it's displayed as an option, you can turn it on/off without an issue)

- Fixed: an issue with Radiation suits that prevents (Health Restoration) upgrade from working properly.
- Fixed: a case where camera binds reset upon loading a game.
- Fixed: a case with hardcore saves options disabling the ability to load/quit, it doesn't make sense!

- Fixed: an issue with companions keep following the player after dismissing them.

Optional Tweaks:
You may find something useful here, install what you need:
• Feature - Azazel Faction Menu (by Debrovski): allows you to choose next character's faction you want to play in Azazel Mode and more.
• Feature - Choose the Route You're Paying For: (for those who play without opened map routes)
The idea of paying traders for hidden routes in MLR is great. it gives the feeling of progression through your playthrough.
The issue however is that spending those 8000 RU feels like rolling dice, you may or may not get the route you want.
With this tweak:
- You can choose the path you're paying for in the dialog. prices range of course, some routes cost more than others.
- Snitch prices are rebalanced (a bit cheaper than regular traders), no more super-crazy prices.
- All traders will ask for money, no more asking for rare artifacts.
• Feature - DRX Dynamic Faction Relations: added here since it still works with the latest patch.
• Gameplay - Controller nerf: this tweak nerfs the controller psi-aura in case you need it, now its similar/a bit stronger than Burer's psi-aura.
• Gameplay - Poltergeist nerf: this tweak nerfs the poltergiest's psi-aura in case you need it, now it will slightly hurt you.
• Gameplay - Disable Brain Scorcher on new game: and all psi-generators, this is for people who want to play without restrictions.
• Gameplay - Enable dynamic anomalies: dynamic anomalies are enabled by default in 3/14 update, but i disabled them in the main files due to the major issues they cause.
You can enable them again from this if you want to take a risk.
• Gameplay - Disable outfit-upgrade requirments: if you don't like the hardcore AWR system which force you to get outfits tools/items in order to use them on upgrades, this will disable them and restore the old system. you can now upgrade outfits just buy spending money.
• Gameplay - Remove New Mutants: requires a new game to get rid of all new mutants. if it worked on old saves, it won't remove any existing new mutants, but it will prevent them from spawning again.
• HUD - Alternative Health & Stamina Bars: self-explanatory
• HUD - Alternative UI: alternative LD main background, more gray-ish menus
• HUD - Enable Ammo Counter: self-explanatory
• HUD - Enable Minimap: self-explanatory
• HUD - Disable Weapon , Armor , Helmet Indicators: self-explanatory
• HUD - Show Natural Online Squads on Map: unlike the new option that shows all squads on all maps, this one only shows the online sqaud (in player's map)
• HUD - Opened Scopes - by Morka: gives all weapon scopes an opened border in (zoom-in) state.
• Sound - Remove outer radio music: coming from megaphones and radio objects in some locations like Dead City base.
• Sounds - Restore Anomalies Beeping Sound: this is the detection sound once you get close to anomalies.

Crash Reporting:
I will try to update this addon as long as i can. if you faced crashes issue, send me the whole crash log in a private message to me and don't forget to mention the add-ons you use and when/where did you got the crash.
It's better to report crashes that happen only in vanilla game, i won't try to fix issues in add-ons.
are the TRX updates working with our old saves or do we need to start a new game?
They won't affect your saves.

I get this error everytime I try to load any of my 10 quicksaves in the garbage, I kinda doubt TRX is what is causing it but you do seem to know how everything works, any advice? Thank you.
Your saves got corrupted, either because of the dynamic anomalies or another silly thing.
Do a test, open the file (gamedata\configs\alife.ltx) and set switch_distance to 10 or even 0 instead of 350 then save and close.
Load your corrupted save and see if that helped, if it worked then get out of map and do a hardsave.
I'm afraid it didn't work. Tried all y quicksaves with switch_distance at 0 and got the same thing on all of them - a ctd. I've got dynamic anomalies disabled thanks to your addon. Only unusual thing I saw in the garbage was a dead NPC standing up in the default character position (legs straight, arms spread out) could that be the cause of this? Cheers
Yep, many people reported bugged npcs with T-Pose especially duty members in garbage. they were a cause for corrupted saves.
If you don't have saves before going in the Garbage then you're out of luck.
There's a fix on vk ld home page in comments section. Download a fixed model and put in gamedata\meshes\actors\stalker_dolg

It seems that everyone is getting this crash, I'd imagine Tronex will fix it when he wakes up.
When i downloaded your mod and put main files into game.
Game just doesn't start. And when i deleted your mod from vanilla game the game just work fine.

Sorry about the issue i caused, its gonna get fixed in a matter of hours.
I mistakenly added an existed section in actor.ltx, just need to diable it.
After installing the main files and I go to start the game I get the last day load up, but a few seconds later I get one of those error pings. But, no crash log. And I followed the installation instructions to the letter and it's still not working for me.
It's a problem with the mod itself, see the above post.
I'm running on zero hours of sleep. I'm gonna miss a few things today.

Something is missing with the main menu music and file responsible for it. tell him to check the mods he's using.
Hey Tronex! I wanted to let you know of a save functionality you might like and want to implement, if it's possible.
Over on Hitman: Blood Money, they have a system where you can save whenever you want, so that you don't end up having to grind through tedium to get to the actual hard part that killed you over and over again, but, you could only save a certain amount of times depending on the difficulty. I was wondering if that could be implemented with the campfire system, where you can save at campfires, and maybe only a few times after until you reach another campfire? I think that does a good job of removing the annoying part of a timer based system, but keeps it hardcore... If that's even possible in the game, however.
Any idea what the original numbers for the movement factors in the actor.ltx was? I prefer the slower movement speed of vanilla Last Day, it keeps you from outrunning everything chasing you. I've seen you say to just delete the actor.ltx file but will that affect any other changes you have implemented?
I have one problem, i choose neutral_squad option, but i see every neutral squad on all maps, not only on that where I am.
And there's another wierd thing.
With this new option to highlight squads, squads dont want to go to new places. For example: when im on Farm in Cordon, squads from this place wonder to closeby places and its ok, but after fast travel to Rookie Villige squads from Farm are teleported to Farm. There's no chance for them to stay in new places, in last version when i took down factory with Fanatic, 2 squads of free stalkers took this place and stayed there ca. 6-7 days before bandits took it over. Now this type of situation have no possible chance to happen. :|
IS there a possibility to have normal height Stash icons in this version of LD?? Cuz new, small ones are barly visible for me :C

Am I correct in thinking this fix means you longer have to equip the binos to a weapons slot to use them, i.e. as it was in all previous stalker titles?
If so I am still having difficulty, as it does not appear to be working. Will it work only if the binos are key-bound to a specific key? If so which key is this and is there a way to change it?
Am I doing something wrong, or is a new game / fresh install required for this to take affect?

Just like other stalker games, number 5 is the key.
If you installed and used the fix on your current game, it won't take effect on your old binoculars. You need to buy new one from some trader.
Hey Tronex, can you tell my what to do yo get rid of Dynamic relations? Because of it i cant lvl up relations with Clear Sky cuz it is changed to 0 after making some quest or doing fast travel to locations where ClearSky fight of bandits.
And another thing. Is there a possibility to have bigger Stash icons like it was in LD1.3 + Patch 1?? These small are barly visible for me.
if you used the dynamic faction relations mod, then you should delete (gamedata/scripts/game_relations.script) file. that should be enough to remove it.
It's possible to get bigger stash icons, its one of the dds files in (textures/ui) but i'm not gonna bother with it at the moment.
Possible to Fix it wothout Deleting ? Got the same Bug aswell. After Installing "Global Weather" and "Dynamic News" if that helps.

Regarding the "remove radio music" option, I imagine most people use it because they get tired of the endless loop of the same song at the merc base in dead city, right?
Those radios can be made to play the normal radio music by copying the radio music files to sounds/mlr and modifying script_sound_mlr.ltx found in configs/misc/sound. It was a pretty simple fix so I'm not sure why it wasn't done in the original release of CoMLD.
Remove radio music is not a fix. It's for people who just don't wanna listen to them.
For example, i usually listen to the radio from PDA once i stick around some faction base and any outer music source will interfere with it.
How do you disable dynamic anomolies?
They are disabled in this mod by default.
Installed this mod. How can I make the stash markers larger. And the ID on Friendlies moving on the pda map is now just an empty box (sometimes it will say something like moving to location etc).
I've got a bit of a bug/issue to report:
When using Hardcore Save Timer (and maybe Hardcore Conditions, haven't tested) you can't light a campfire at all during the periods where you can't save. It'd be better to still be able to light the fire's, but just not have the action activate a save.
Small issue, hope it can be fixed/changed.
I'm having an issue with Open Scopes - By Morka, where the Mark 4 scope used by the L96 and similar weapons displays like the following image, instead of the one it's supposed to. Any ideas what to do to fix it?

navigate to your game folder and look for gamedata - textures - wpn and copy/paste any scope you like in particular. rename to wpn_crosshair_mark4.dds and that will now be the scope used.
Open scopes by morka has some texture issues on some weapons. The box is outlined on a lot of the textures radius.
Hi, as someone a while back commented, after installing the mod my hud gets all jacked up. Tried just reinstalling the game and the mod but its still doing it when this mod is active. I'm using JSGME, with this loaded first then last wish (with traders).

Also idk if you noticed yet but the english translation file was just updated and seems to be messing up some stuff as well with text.
He mentioned something about damage to his gamedata folder and that he had fixed it but he didn't elaborate past that. As I said I reinstalled both LD and this addon so not sure what he meant.

Hello? I will reply here, since it is top comment. Here it goes: After installing a few mods for Last Day, all of a sudden my Time Elapsed is all bugged up! It is saying something like NEGATIVE 6 MILLION SECONDS or something like that in numbers. I'm not sure if it is this mod. I installed Dynamic Messages for L.D, Last Wish mods, this update, and FCO. After that, one day I checked my PDA and when I looked at statistics, it is negative number. A "big" negative number. And the messages is bugged too. I can go "backward", but it will skip to October 2017 from November 2015. Please send help.
