SMALL ADDON FOR LAST DAY 1.3 patch 2
|WHAT IT DOES ?|
- It replaces the following:
"sunrise suit (damaged)" and "sunrise suit (worn)" WITH "Stalker Outfit" and "Sunrise suit (outdated)"
- It changes the names and descriptions of:
>"Sunrise suit (damaged)"
>"Sunrise suit (worn)"
>"Sunrise suit"
- It uses the models added by "HD models for stalkers" addon/mod to create a different variation of 3d visuals for :
"Sunrise suit", "Sunrise suit (outdated)", "Stalker outfit", "NBC suit (worn)", "NBC suit" and "Duty exoskeleton" (It changes duty's exoskeleton third-person model to the one with METRO helmet, introduced since Misery)
- It changes properties of some of the aforementioned outfits.
- It modifies the upgrade trees for the three Sunrise suit variations:
> Stalker suit now uses novice outfit's upgrade tree, altered to suit its standards.
>Sunrise outfit (outdated) now has possibility of installing tier 3 upgrades
>Sunrise outfit has different upgrades available.
The addon will replace some of your outfit files, outfit_upgrade files, trader files and text files for english translation.
By the way it also:
- Changes Duty exoskeleton's visual to the one with metro helmet and adds a belt slot to it.
- Changes the assortment offered by a few traders.
- Changes some visuals for Duty's "PSZ", Freedom's "Wind of freedom" and "NBC outfits", depending on their variant. However, no changes were done to their properties or upgrade trees.
It is based on Last Day mod creator's work and "HD Models" author's work. I didn't ask for permission to modify their stuff, but you will need their stuff installed first anyway - obviously I am not the creator of their work and do not take credit for it. Their work is essential for this mod's functioning, So...
Requirements:
You must have Last Day 1.3 + patch 2 installed.
On top of that it REQUIRES "HD models for stalkers". (can be installed from addonpack with JSGME, which are included with LD)
How to install (in case you are new here)
Drop the "gamedata" to the main file directory, and merge the existing "gamedata" with the one included in mod. Replace the files with new ones.
Alternatively you can use the JSGME.
It's the first time ever I'm uploading something I've been working on. May attempt to update the mod, but I'm not promising anything.
The idea came when I've realised that "HD Models" and LD1.3 both add many variations of third-person visual representations of several suits in game, yet the default visuals for our main character stays the same for each one suit, despite changing and including different outfit variations - plus there are much more badass looking models than the ones we are being issued with by default.
Later it also occured to me that "worn/damaged" guns in the game are sold by traders, but the "lower quality" outfits can only be found in the beginner's loadout and on corpses...
So I've decided to make this mod, re-purpose some existing outfit variations and re-balance my hardcore ironman gameplay a bit. I tried to keep the stuff within stalker's story canon and keep it somewhat believable - new suits have their advantages and disadvantages, I don't think I've made them OP.
Enjoy whoever cares.
Interesting stuff my friend, by the way, do you need a new game for it to work properly or is it compatible with older saves ?
Can't tell you now, because I got rid of my saves prior to reading your comment.
However, I believe that it shouldn't require a new game.
What HD models do I need to install?
This on ? Moddb.com
or
this on Moddb.com
Well, it seems that models from both of these packs overlap...
The model pack I've used is the one provided with JSGME in the folder "addons for last day 1.3", as it was with 1.2 - it comes with LD's folder...
It's found as Add - Miscellaneous - HD models for stalkers (optimized)
Where did you get JSGME from then? It's just a mod enabler for many games and there isn't a special version present for Last Day which would contain addons for it
Would it be possible to do a SEVA suit but without the helm ? Like the one Strelok wears in Shoc and COP. It could be for both normal and armored versions of the SEVA.
i think this variation would be better as the sunrise suit : Imgur.com
He's also looks a lot like the guy in the cover for cop so it just feels right. Other than that good stuff, really neat idea, adds a little bit more variety to the game, it's small details like this that make the difference imo.
I cant find the HD models need help finding them.
