Food economy re-balance based on a ratio between rubles and calorie amount.
Just some small tweaks to the pricing of the various food items in the game to balance them based on the amount of calories they give and other things like how easy they are to get or the quality of the item. Ration type items are also balanced around their calories now and you might actually find yourself buying one instead of just 8 cans of tushonka. In addition, I made it so purchasing more expensive and more calorie filled items will be better economically in the long run than purchasing the smaller calorie type items to encourage saving up for a great meal.
EDIT:
V 2.0 is out finally, after a long hiatus I finally finished the darn thing.
o Adjusted prices of monster meals
o Adjusted the danger of consuming raw meats to accommodate the new prices without messing with the hunting economy. Eating raw meat is now EXTREMELY unhealthy and will give you some serious issues, and should generally be avoided.
Mutant parts are in configs\misc\items\items_monster.ltx
Excellent, thank you!
I will download it when you update it with the mutant food too. :D
Now I am hungry awww
What about fuel (weight, number of uses)? It should be most cost effective (since it involves the risk of hunting mutants and skinning them), but damn that fuel is too heavy. Hauling 5kgs of kerozine is not worth it when you can just carry rations or tuna cans. Making fuel lighter would make overall experience much better. Maybe make it so 1 cooking uses up 0.2l of fuel? Making entire gallon 1kg with 5 uses?
If I want to edit it myself, which file is it?
I never did any editing to cooking or fuel, so I don't really know where the editing for fuel weight is. Also, carrying tuna cans and rations are SUPPOSED to be the ideal choice for adventures and excursions, that's why it is much more expensive to get a decent meal from rations or tuna than it is to simply make yourself a cooked meal from disgusting monster parts in order to satisfy your satiety. You could also try using a charcoal stove, or simply bringing a haul of monster meat back to your gas stove at base to cook it, just a suggestion.
Funny, in reality those Hexagon stoves are .4oz irl and I even have one.
But in game you have to use coal...very heavy irony lol
Hey man, I cannot open your .rar file. Says it is broken
Just downloaded myself and it works fine. Sure it's not something messing with it on your end?
I have the same issue. Any other mod downloaded from this site unpacks just fine though.
