Description

HUD for CoM, Last Day and other CoC/CoM derivative mods that merges the Last Day/CoM HUD with the AA2 HUD. It will work with Call of Chernobyl and mods for it including Call of Misery and its derivatives like Last Day. This HUD preserves CoM's screen-wide bleeding effect instead of using the bleeding icon. More detail:

Has the thirst indicator been aligned with the other icons? I want to use this HUD but I was having issues the other day with the icons being misaligned. Also, do the hunger/thirst indicators range from gray to red?

Too many questions of late where folks could simply read or look at the images. Worst case try it and drop it if you don't like it. But stop with the complete lack of effort on your part.

Right. **** you too, bud. Your image shows only green.

Can you even see the image right above your silly question?

Yay, you woke up and edited your answer after getting half a clue. Figure out the rest yourself.

These green icons? Sure. Can you?

Put in the work and figure it out - you got half your answers yourself on the alignment after I pointed it out, I'm sure you can get the rest of it.

Or don't use this mod.

For those curious, the icons range from green to red. Gray indicators are omitted.

Mildly, but only mildly, curious: hunger etc have only 4 hud states in Stalker. Good and three not good states that are shown traditionally as green, yellow/amber, red. Did some mod really show gray in the middle of that?

The thirst mod goes one better and does 5 states for no good reason whatsoever, but it too doesn't think gray is a good color for huds.

Not for thirst, but gray is present in un-modded LD. I usually ignore my hunger until it drops into the green, at least during the hobo phase when I have to be extremely conservative with my food/resources.

Use Paint.NET to edit gamedata/textures/ui/ui_actor_hint_wnd.dds and you can change the colors to suit you.

I tried out the LD icons with the grey values and went back to the AA2 icons after a while.

The color transitions happen at the same points in either case, so if you were ignoring the first color (gray), you can ignore the first color here as well (green). But you may be best of using the other HUD if that's your preference - HUDs are pretty personal.

2.3 updates to Last Day 1.2, which is a minor tweak to the drink script. Has no impact for CoM or other mods.

works fine, only thing I would like to change is to remove radiation sign altogether. I used the "Radiation Hazard Icon invisible" option but there is still a radiation sign blinking when I'm irradiated.. any advice how to hide it completely? I would leave only the radiation protection sign

If you mean the small green blinking icon showing you're irradiated, edit configs/ui/maingame_16.xml and change the line that reads
<indicator_radiation x="993" y="640" width="15" height="19" stretch="1"/>
to be
<indicator_radiation x="-993" y="640" width="15" height="19" stretch="1"/>

The HUD is fitted to a virtual screen of resolution 1024x768 and then scaled to your real screen. Setting either x or y to where the element is off the screen hides it.

The "Radiation Hazard Icon invisible" option is for the icon that shows up in the top center of the screen when you enter an irradiated area. CoM hides that by default since it puts the noise and white overlay on the screen instead.

Should work as is with Last Day 1.3, though I've not tested it. Or check out cHUD which I did test against 1.3 as needing no changes.

A bit late, but its the thirst icon if you're using the optional thirst component from Last Day.
