STALKER CLEAR SKY LAST FALLOUT OVERHAUL 1.5.15 full
It doesn't work.
With the latest update, the mod became just much better in terms of visuals and atmosphere.
I'd recommend anyone to fall on their face in swamps while running away from the Freedomer's love bloodsuckers!
a good mod plagued by constant crashes and other annoying game breaking bugs. i lost count how many times my saves got corrupted. my saves also ended up disappearing at one point. the most annoying bug was i would crash when entering a new zone. this gets problematic later in the game when you are required to enter new zones to progress through the story. another really annoying bug was my i couldnt pull out any of my items! i had to completely restart my game. this happened on multiple occasions. The game worked fine through the first 15 or so hours of gameplay, but after that, i started to encounter game breaking bugs on almost every time i played. im currently 30ish hours into my playthrough (i think) and i literally cannot progress because my game keeps crashing when i try to go into a new zone... the discord wasnt so helpful either, they took nothing i said seriously and basically just told me to **** off... good mod, but needs major bug fixes. i would skip this one.
I have to say that of all mods I tried for Clear Sky and STALKER games in general, this one feels the most complete.
It has everything : HD textures, models, great weapon animations and models, extra weapons, artifact revamp, extra levels that fit very well.
The mod is easy to install and runs great despite the improvement in graphics.
The creator is also really friendly and gets in touch with people fast through the discord.
Go get the mod and show the creator the apreciation he deserves !
Love it Nuff said.
stalker never has looked this good

good mod
I can't get it to run, crashes to desktop at the start of a new game. I've reinstalled the game from disk (including patch). Vanilla runs fine. At the time of this writing there are two other crash issues reported with no response. Not supporting your mod is not a good way to get people to play it. There are other mods to play, so I'm moving on.
This mod has potential.
Being updated to 64-bit and being standalone is a huge selling point.
Plus it has "new" locations, what i really like, since my biggest problam with vanilla CS was that the overall world map was just a weak rework of released or cut-before-release ShoC maps.
(Man, i miss Rostok.)
I can recommend it, but only if you own a stronger PC.
My biggest problem with the changes made within the mod are with performance issues and the general lack of rebalance from the vanilla game.
The performance would be fine, but there are tons of unneccessarily added obstacles, what made the game laggy.
Some of them are okay, like i found a completely new, flooded farmhouse within the marshes, what i think was a nice addition, besides it didn't hold any loot and had absolutely no purpose.
BUT!
Many smaller things scattering the map, what makes the whole mod really laggy. Like random repetitive tin can and gas mask models piling up inside and around stalker camps. For example after a few minutes of play, the Cordon, which shouldn't have any performace issue at all, stutters and has FPS drops around stalker camps.
Sometimes less is more and i think removing these things wouldn't hurt the overall experience.
And my other problem is with rebalancing.
I really don't like when mods, what utilize new weapon packs doesn't change the opening section of the game: The Clear Sky vs Renegade wars.
Sure, it's supposed to be a "tutorial" kind of part of the game, but i played it several times already and it takes like an hour long gameplay to finish it. When you have new weapons, you could have some change for at last and not the same Double Barrel and Makarov retard war over and over again.
I'm not talking about giving the player the big shooters from the start, just scatter low tier weapons between Renegade and Clear Sky soldiers, like Mosins, or low-tier pump-action shotguns.
Other thing, what really set me off was the damn machine gun nest at Cordon. No-one likes that place and on Master difficulty it was a one-hit instakill for me, even in a fully upgraded CS-1 armor.
Please, fix it.
