STALKER CLEAR SKY LAST FALLOUT OVERHAUL 1.5.15 full
everything very well from time to time ia failure, I would like that adons add the dynamic hud would be beautiful <3
This mod has potential.
Being updated to 64-bit and being standalone is a huge selling point.
Plus it has "new" locations, what i really like, since my biggest problam with vanilla CS was that the overall world map was just a weak rework of released or cut-before-release ShoC maps.
(Man, i miss Rostok.)
I can recommend it, but only if you own a stronger PC.
My biggest problem with the changes made within the mod are with performance issues and the general lack of rebalance from the vanilla game.
The performance would be fine, but there are tons of unneccessarily added obstacles, what made the game laggy.
Some of them are okay, like i found a completely new, flooded farmhouse within the marshes, what i think was a nice addition, besides it didn't hold any loot and had absolutely no purpose.
BUT!
Many smaller things scattering the map, what makes the whole mod really laggy. Like random repetitive tin can and gas mask models piling up inside and around stalker camps. For example after a few minutes of play, the Cordon, which shouldn't have any performace issue at all, stutters and has FPS drops around stalker camps.
Sometimes less is more and i think removing these things wouldn't hurt the overall experience.
And my other problem is with rebalancing.
I really don't like when mods, what utilize new weapon packs doesn't change the opening section of the game: The Clear Sky vs Renegade wars.
Sure, it's supposed to be a "tutorial" kind of part of the game, but i played it several times already and it takes like an hour long gameplay to finish it. When you have new weapons, you could have some change for at last and not the same Double Barrel and Makarov retard war over and over again.
I'm not talking about giving the player the big shooters from the start, just scatter low tier weapons between Renegade and Clear Sky soldiers, like Mosins, or low-tier pump-action shotguns.
Other thing, what really set me off was the damn machine gun nest at Cordon. No-one likes that place and on Master difficulty it was a one-hit instakill for me, even in a fully upgraded CS-1 armor.
Please, fix it.
