ZoneExpanded - Artefacts adds 10 new artefacts to Call of Misery. All artefacts are based on those in the book "Roadside Picnic". The artefacts are very well balanced and I think they fit misery perfectly. Some have unique properties too which were not used in misery before, to make the artefact system more interesting.
ZoneExpanded - Artefacts is made for CoM AND CoM + STCoM + Outfit Addon.
Players will find new artefacts in every map, in anomalies and in loot. Right now there are 10 different artefacts, which can be used with the containers in CoM. One of the artefacts will be a quest item in one of my mods next year.
I am sure all of the artefacts fit well in Call of Misery, and I tried to make all of them interesting with positive, negative and unique effects. These won't make the player feel invincible at all.

Is a new game needed?
You do not need to start a new game with ZoneExpanded - Artefacts.
This mod can be used with both CoM, and CoM with STCoM+Outfit Addon installed, no patch needed. STCoM and OutfitAddon require a new game.
Other mods that might be compatible should:
-not change/add anomalies or artefact spawns
-not change the original artefact files (descriptions and effects)
-not change the ui_icon_equipment.dds file
-not change trader files
-not edit files related to artefact containers
-not edit debug_spawner.ltx (optional)
-not edit item drops/rates in case my artefacts are in the file you overwrite
This means most mods will be compatible, just double check.
Examples of COMPATIBLE mods:
EDADBG_for_STCoM_V1.4
immersive-fast-travel-1.0
Inaccurate_Zombies
STCoM
OA 4.03
OA Extended with my patch
Where should I look first if I can't put an artifact like the "Empty" into a lead box? The menu to put the artifact inside does not list it, it's just an empty selection.
This is a feature! The description on each artefact often tells about different things the player notices about the artefact. The empty, and its heavy version the full empty are simply too large to put into an artefact container. luckily the empty has a very low radiation output and the full empty has some nice properties. Another fun fact about the empties, is that because of their shape you can also roll them. each artefact has unique properties ;)
I did include the item textures (empty+boxes and other artefacts) for people who do want to enable putting the empty for example in a lead box, as you can see in the moddb preview image. This will require some .ltx editing in notepad++ so the box sees the artefact. I don't recommend it, as special artefact properties are there for fun and balance.
Ah, that makes sense, then. Is it normal, that the only times (twice) I encountered artifacts in a new game were Empties so far?
There have been released a newer version of an Outfit Addon, this one : Moddb.com
But I doubt this mod is also compatible, it seems like most addons are only compatible with older Outfit Addon, not this new version.
Included patch for the new OA, thanks for letting me know :)
the artefacts addon has been merged with Road To The North, my large mod based on Call of Misery
