I have no idea to be honest. Ignore jobs from traders and keep playing taking jobs from faction members, I would say.
that's what I had to do. tbh, it doesn't really matter once the shite hits the fan. taking jobs ain't going to be your priority, putting maximum chikki brikki in peoples skulls will be.

fix1 was the XP patch.
fix2 damage fix patch (stops insane enemy healing)
fix 2.5 fixes missing text strings.
Mis-typed on above comment -- 1.9.1 = patch3. My bad.
fix 3 was the last known patch I have beeen able to track; it fixed a lot of things and most importantly reduced CTDs by FAR. It also gave us options such as tracers, re-enabling option for weapon slot (which also created CTDS).
According to some non-English forums; apparently a fan made patch 4 was floating around but it seems to be rumours :(

who is creator of mod? I think there was a talk about 3.9 or even 4.0 but it was cancelled or something like that...btw,great mod!

Last thing I read (over an year ago), the main creator was talking about working on the mod again, but I don't know if that worked out.
Hey jack how do you put the patch 3 in or how to work it in to the files
It's easy. Download patch 3 and unpack it. You'll get a folder named "The Faction War Patch v3", with a gamedata and an optional folder. Move the gamedata folder to your game main folder (i.e: C:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\stalker clear sky) and drop it there. Overwrite any existing files.
The optional folder has some other stuff, all properly explained in the folder names. The instalation process is the same: move the "gamedata" folder to your game's main directory and overwrite the old gamedata folder.

Welcome to stalker I guess. This mod sometimes worked flawlessly to me, but other times it was a lag fest. I really don't know how to fix that. All I can suggest is trying to use appropiated display settings and tweaking some stuff in the game parameters (look it up in google: something between the lines "fix stalker lag")

Sure. Go to the game's folder, /gamedata/configs/text/ find the lang you want to change and start translating.

The game is prone to crashes. Try travelling to different locations. If it still is a problem, uninstall the mod (delete gamedata folder) and install again applying ALL patches. Keep in mind the mod is not compatible with other mods.
Okay, I need some help that I can't find a fix on Google for.
So every couple of levels (or level) when you click on your sleeping bag you get to decide on a character skill boost. At one point I picked a skill that was something like,"For every successful hit your... 15% to focus... for 2 seconds... without recoil." Basically every once and a while a direct hit (shot) to an enemy will grant me a 2 second aim hold on THAT enemy so that my aim will stay fixed on them with no recoil, there is still the shot spread but the real issue is that the guy will be dead after 3 well placed shots but I'm still pointed/aiming at the guy... when there's a group of his homies making me their bitch. It happens quite frequently and before I figured out it wasn't a random glitch I'd erased the earliest save before picking that skill.
Is there any way to kill that skill with the console or maybe turn it off in the config files?
Man that sounds hilarious. I have no idea if you can disable it somehow, sorry! Most features in the mod are glitchy at best, and there isn't really any real info online about it.
Maybe contacting the devs? If thats even possible.
Okay i'm done. I can't open the game after deleting "bin". It always gives me a reason like :"xcore.dll" and something like this kind of ******** thing. Patch is done,crack too and i am not able to fix it alone. Does anybody have this crash too?
