Quoting my review for this mod here.
What you see in this mod is probably what a zombie sees. Or a Freedom member who is on a bad trip, just that he'll definitively quit doing drugs ever again or commit suicide after it.
This mod is also what stalkers make voluntarily walk into the brain scorcher to join the Monolith faction, so that they're no longer hunted by these images.
