Merging good Anomaly addons? Improving out-the-box | Locked | |

Hello! Lastly there are some pretty good addons that I think that could be a big step improving the out-the-box result of the mod. It's important to give "out-the-box" result a key position: many of us are "used to" install addons, use jsgme, move here and there... but there are a lot of "newcomers" that have problems with specially two things: It's a source of problems (incompatibility, search, download...) and boring and tedious work. So in my opinion, after playing them, my conclusion is that this addons are essential and their authors made a good and experienced work with it:
I think that most of these authors will be totally ok about integrate in Anomaly. Also could be part of the team updating and mantaining and also helped by the nice and talented Anomaly team. About updating, could github host it? And use raw links for download updates, for example, detected with the launcher. Also one file downloads helps new people (not parts and then update and then patch). Using db correctly named and this auto direct dowloading could help. See you. Edited by: Ekkaia! |

An installer that gives you the option to integrate these addons / others would be great, a la Autumn Aurora & Lost Alpha. |

1: Firstly, thank you for your support for the Trader Overhaul. 2: I agree, an installer would be a good idea for such a thing. |

Is there a specific rules on how to unpack all of this? What if I want to add/remove some? For example in CoC there are rules on which addons should be installed first before any other and vice versa. |

If you include the HD model already, just make sure to gt the HD icon set to match as well. |

This is the mod list I came up with. Should I straight up throw them in one by one? I know that a few mods can conflict with each other and I'm not sure in which order to install them. Edited by: DeltaPRM |

Just trying GUNSLINGER mod and test the auto-updater... they made using github, like I mention in my first post... Btw no mention to say that mixing gunslinger... would be a dream, but seems that too many works is needed... Edited by: Ekkaia! |

Look up JSGME (Jones Soft Generic Mod Enabler) it is quite old but still does the trick in situations where you are only incorporating a dozen or two mods, it will point out conflicts etc. It is the grand daddy of mod install tools Moddb.com I can't seem to find original website and install instructs but follow step-by-steps if you can locate. |

Yeah, I know and use JSGME, but I'm talking about merging out-the-box in Anomaly these addons, taking part of its core. More recent examples of "must":
New RCs
So 1.5.1 for sure:
(Debug mode for testing: Enable Debug Mode in the launcher, or add -dbg to a shortcut, press F7 for spawner). (Graphics tutorial: Pastebin.com ) DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE IS READING THIS, BUT I'M MANTAINING THE LIST MORE HERE IN AN SPREADSHEET: Edited by: Ekkaia! |

I would recommend adding Soundscape Overhaul for the collection. Moddb.com |
