The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Centered & Simple HUD for Anomaly, influenced by the HUD seen in the game "Mordhau".
___________
DESCRIPTION
___________
Voraus Display. ("VoDis" for short)
Simple & Centered HUD for Anomaly, influenced by the HUD seen in the game "Mordhau".
Should be much more informative than the default HUD, but it's not exactly as "minimal", neither it is as informative as SidHUD.
The intention was to make you not look too much at the HUD, by making you look at it nearly always. Quite an oxymoron.
For more information, you can look down into "DETAILS".
For whatever purpose you downloaded the HUD, other than to steal it, I hope you enjoy it.
Big thanks to "RavenAscendant" for making the script(s) to make VoDis functionally perfect.
It is called "Voraus Display" because "Voraus" means "Ahead" in German, sounds fancy to foreigners like me, maybe not so much for English and German speakers.

INSTALLATION
___________
NOTE: The mod was made with MO2/BAIN format in mind for ease of install, give that a try.
It also contains a FOMOD for MO2.
For manual install, it should be simple;
1. First and foremost, install the first file, in this case it's "00 VODIS MAIN FILE [INSTALL FIRST ALWAYS]", extract it to your main Anomaly file.
1.1 If you want to use "Scheme Variant 2" which centers the ammo display, pick that. If you want a more "Minimal" overlay, pick "Scheme Variant 3".
2. Depending on which Scheme Variant you have chosen, you can go ahead and check the "Optional Add-ons" if desired.
* Check the "MODDING GUIDE" to know how to make some minor tweaks to your digression.
- VoDis is made by components which, by default, all are enabled. If you want to disable some, just go to the options menu then UI/HUD, go to the bottom, everything should be explanatory if you hover to the text. English & Russian text available.
___________
OPTIONS/ADDONS INFORMATION
___________
- SCHEME VARIANT 2. Centers the ammo with a cool background to it.
- SCHEME VARIANT 3 [MINIMALIST]. Makes VoDis much more compact and minimal.
- ALTERNATIVE DIRECTION. Makes it so the HP & Stamina bars go from left-to-right and right-to-left respectively instead.
- CENTERED ICONS. Centers the icons instead of having them to the bottom-left.
Highly recommended to use this with Alternative Icons: Moddb.com
- DIFFERENT COLOR SCHEME. Grittier, grungier, darker aspect to fit better with STALKER's.
- [ALTERNATIVE ICONS PATCH]. If you use the "Alternative Icons" mod, install this LAST and accept overwrites.
It will use a different set of icons and backgrounds, better fit for VoDis' "Centered Icons".
___________
PROBLEMS/TO DO
___________
X The options for VoDis won't appear unless you're in-game. A fix for this is only possible by using RavenAscendant's MCM mod.
X Keypads will make many of VoDis's component disappear, as well as cause other issues. This is a vanilla bug, not fixable by us.
X "Centered Icons" might clip when there are too many, best I can do is to ask you not to overdose on boosters.
- The HUD was based on 16:9, specifically, 1920x1080 (1080p). It should work on 16:10 and 4:3 but may not be "perfect".
- It's recommended you don't enable "Autohide Stamina Bar".
___________
DETAILS
___________
- HP BAR.
The HP bar is separated in 3 gauges, each are 25%.
There is a high-contrast bar that should indicate you are at 100% health.
--- RADIATION BAR. Enabled through the options, this will show another bar on the Health bar that goes from left-to-right, to indicate the amount of radiation you have.
The bar is shown as a glowing orange bar, halved vertically, that goes well with the middle section of the health bar.
- STAMINA BAR.
The Stamina bar is separated in 3 gauges, each are 25%.
There is a high-contrast bar that should indicate you are at 100% stamina.
--- BLEEDING BAR. Enabled through the options, this will show another bar on the Stamina bar that goes from left-to-right, to indicate the amount of blood you are losing and how long it will take to stop bleeding.
It is shown as a from bottom-to-top, opaque-to-transparent blood red bar.
- PSY BAR.
The Psybar is now a subtle, transparent line that is right on the stamina bar, it is of cyan color.
- FIREMODE COUNTER.
This will indicate which firemode you have chosen, I intentionally made it subtle. Should still be good enough to see "for a glance".
- UNDERBARREL GRENADE COUNTER.
This will show how much grenades you have for the Underbarrel GL. X means you have none, you can reach as much as 99 before you break the HUD layout.
- AMMO CLIP COUNTER.
The Ammo Clip Counter has been made to be better in contrast and bigger, when you aim it should be clearly visible.
It also has a simple "Total Ammo Counter" next to it, this can be toggled off if desired in the options menu or MCM.
- ARMOR BAR.
The Armor bar is separated in 4 gauges, each are 25%.
A text-based percentage indicator is available as an option, go to Settings>UI/HUD or in MCM.
___________
COMPATIBILITY
___________
Anything that changes "maingame_16" is not compatible.
Basically, not compatible with any other HUD.

"Mmm--I don't think so."
Regards, Mordhau.
that was exactly what i was looking for. i miss the centered hud
Minor update that adds info on how to change Ammo Counter text font.
Should I actually change it by default?
Пиздец, как там в 2005?
Made another minor update that should make the whole file, well, much more "dumbproof"
this looks really cool, but I would like to know how modular/editable it is. I like to play with minimal hud so is it possible to hide everything except hp,psy, stamina and fire mode? thanks
Edit: nvm I see it has a modding guide
Yes, there is also an Options menu in "Settings/Visual/UI-HUD" right at the bottom, should appear when you're in-game, you can disable Armor, Bleed & Rad bars that way.
The rest have to be done via the MODDING GUIDE.
Enjoy!
Hey man, this looks great, really. I just need to scale the background (the one with a heart and a lightning, its too big), it isn't maingame_16, is it?
This is really good, wow, loved it.
Nope, it's maingame.xml if your resolution is 21:9 or 4:3, the Modding Guide should show you how to do it.
Nah, it doesn't show how to scale the background texture.
It's 16:9, everything else is in place, DX8.
Just the background.dds that looks too big, like, half the bottom screen. the rest is normal. :)
maingame_16.xml, find:
<back x="350" y="746" width="325" height="22" stretch="0">
Set the stretch="0" to stretch="1", that seems to fix it.
Sadly everything else will be 'off', this is a problem with DX8 and DX9 that the devs refuse to fix.
Update 1, changed the font for the Ammo Counter, should be better, balanced between being big and clear instead of just plain big. If you don't like it, check the modding guide on how to change it.
Also made a fix for DX8 and DX9, the background shouldn't appear massive.
Do you have any advice for moving around the ammo counter text? I can't seem to figure out how to lower it, after changing the font size ///edit: Sorry, just found the correct values to edit!
hey, i downloaded this and deleted sidhud, now i have a black bar in the bottom left of my screen, is there anything i should delete to fix this?
I.imgur.com
Did you delete SidHUD properly? You should double-check, especially these files:
gamedata/scripts/ui_sidhud.script
gamedata/configs/ui_sidhud_component.xml
gamedata/configs/plugins/sidhud.ltx
From what I can see, your game is still showing the bar for the Armor Bar of SidHUD when it shouldn't, high chances are it's caused by either ui_sidhud.script or ui_sidhud_component.
yeah, everything you mentioned is gone, but that bar is still there
ah, nevermind! i had a file called ui_armor_health.script, deleted that and it fixed it, never realised i should've just deleted that, sorry haha
Gonna try it on a 21:9 resolution.
EDIT: WORKS a bit stretchy but am used to have stretchy UI in games on this resolution Imgur.com
what happened to the non-RC version? i downloaded it last week and the files were certainly there.
They were never there, just an empty folder.
Still working on making a functional non-RC version.
i went in and removed the add_console_command line and everything seems to be working...then again i havnt really played alot
i like it! thank you.
but in 720p the icon indicators in the left are 'cropped' in the bottom (too low onthe screen...)
I've tried it, it looks relatively fine to me.
Are you on RC18 or RC19? If you're on 18, you should update to 19, it has a fix for icon indicators on resolutions lower than 1080p.
i'm on rc19, normal ui doesn't have the issue i don't know its like 20% of the icons are below the bottom cropping them.
Screenshot:
Imgur.com
i don't have that issue with normal ui i don't know...
Thought RC19 would fix that, seems not. Well the issue is easy to fix; go to "gamedata/scripts", find "ui_vodis.script" and open it up, should see this:
status_hud_x = -152
status_hud_y = 12
Change "status_hud_y" to 6 or 0. You can reload this in-game too, just load a game or change the language.
Thanks!
Update 1, added a non-RC version as well as a "Darker Scheme".
Expect some possible minor issues in non-RC, it's very tedious to work on U4H8 compared to RC19.
Update 2, added a new add-on, "Scheme Variant 2", which centers the ammo display. Check screenshots for reference.
Also fixes a bug that happened with ammo display and grenade launcher.
any way to hide ammo counter?
Try gamedata/configs/ui/ui_vodis_component, "ammo_display_simple" is what you want to mess with.
removing anything in that string causes a game crash and editing anything on it doesnt seem to do anything at all
Just set either x or y to a high number so it disappears off the screen.
yeah that does absolutely nothing, ive set the X and Y to 9999 and it doesnt change anything
Oh right, you're on non-RC.
gamedata/configs/ui/maingame_16, scroll down until "static_cur_ammo" and change the x/y there.
Hi. Can you tell me pls which file i need to correct so that the charge indicator from this add-on:
Moddb.com
does not overlap with your one? screenshot: Imgur.com
Sorry, that was a mistake of mine, I forgot to change the notification icon accordingly when I was doing Update 2.
Get the latest update, it has been fixed. Just make sure to remove "item_artefacts.script" from the "scripts" folder.
thanks a lot!
cheers
Update 3, "item_artefact.script" is no longer necessary, MAKE SURE to remove it!
Also fixed the notification (PDA) icon.
Update 4
- Fixed up the text locations of "Save" and "Item Use".
- Heavily improved the appearance of the "Scheme Variant 2".
- Fixed up some "unintended downgrades" from the RC21+ update.
Update 5
- "Alternative Direction" add-on can be used for both schemes now, choose accordingly.
- [RC ONLY] Made a "Centered Icons" options, for both schemes (choose accordingly), this will center the icons with an option to use the Original or New ones.
- Added an option to disable the "ammo counter" itself, or only the "total ammo", so you only see the "current ammo".
Update 5 Hotfix 1
Minor update that makes it so the Armor Bar can be toggled off properly again.
Update 5.1, this is just a very minor update to make it compatible with 1.5.1
This worked fine with RC19, but going to 1.5.1 seems to have broken the stamina meter. The meter vanishes if full; once some stamina is used, the meter appears as a full bar and works as normal until you regain too much of it and it disappears again. I'm using a 16:10 screen if that makes a difference.
Edit: I'm a retard. Autohide stamina bar was left on. Everything's fine now.
Update 5.1 Hotfix 1, fix for the "Alternative Icons" addons
Update 6, **IMPORTANT UPDATE**.
VoDis no longer has its own "icon pack", if you want it, go get the Alternative Icons mod, here; Moddb.com
This should ease the installation and compatibility.
By the gods, thanks for the BAIN (MO2) format!!!
Much appreciated
