(for Anomaly 1.5.0 + update 4 + hotfix 8)
With this addon installed, instead of loading a save file after death, you respawn having lost everything but your wallet and your PDA (and important quest items and your knife)...
Creating a stash is now more important than ever - so you can re-equip youself.
Respawn Mode 1.0.3 introduces a new feature: the "Secure container"... Items stored in this inventory container (max. 2kg) won't be lost upon death (requires a new game!). Open this container by right-clicking it from within your inventory.
Where you respawn depends on your faction:
- Loner -> sidorovich's bunker
- Military -> southern checkpoint
- Bandit -> northern factory
- Clear Sky -> hidden base
- Duty -> duty headquarter
- Ecologist -> sakharovs bunker
- Freedom -> military base
- Mercenary -> sports center
- Monolith -> cultural center
- Sin -> red forest old mine
- Renegades -> tuzla outpost
- UNISG/ else -> hideout in outskirts

Yes, I think it's more immersive/ lore-friendly
(and the corpse mechanic was a bit buggy)
Yeah, I noticed that sometimes if I died, the body was not there so I see why.
thats normal it despawns after some time like every other corpse...
The problem was:

That's true, that was another weird thing, that amount of items and weapon conditions/equipment got randomized upon death.

When I installed the mod I get 0 points to spend in the loadout, and I get all the itens in my inventory. Can't put them back in the loadout, do you know why?
I tested the game vanilla, with the most recent version of this mod and without. Loadout works fine without the most recent respawn mod patch, but gets borked when it's installed.
Edit: Here's how to revert to vanilla. Tested and working.
1. Go to wherever you saved the mod file.
2. Find the folder "[MOD]\gamedata\configs\items\settings"
3. Either delete the .ltx file inside, or just the settings folder entirely.
That's not a bug, thats a feature... I like it better that way :)
If you don't like that just remove this folder: Anomaly\gamedata\configs\items\settings\new_game_loadouts.ltx
Is there a simple way to uninstall this mod? Playing on warfare and respawning in a place owned by other stalkers is not good
just look at Respawn Mode's files and remove those in your Anomaly/gamedata folder
It's possible to change the military respawn point to Agropom, instead of Checkpoint.

This is awesome. After playing a lot of Tarkov I was hoping this kind of mod was possible. Is there any way to incorporate an Ironman-like mode where your old saves are wiped if you die? This would prevent savescumming.
Actually testing it out, it DOES work like that already! Excellent. The only change I would make it somehow giving the player the ability to set their respawn point. For example I spawned as a Loner at rookie village, but if I go on a big raid all the way up to the NPP, that's a lot of walking to get back, both with my loot and if I die. It would be very cool if there was a way to set your spawn point to somewhere else, within reason. I don't want to be able to set it just anywhere, as it'd negate the risk of having to travel, but even just being able to set it to a friendly faction's spawn would be great. Or maybe have it be tied to a very expensive/rare item so that it can't be abused.

* Anomaly (or an addon) integrates inventory containers - then I can add sth. like the gamma container in Tarkov where you dont loose that container
* I have the time to get the x-ray sdk to work on my PC - then I would integrate a base/ shelter/ bunker (as in Tarkov) where you would respawn

Awesome idea! I would love to add this to my mod list but there is just one thing holding me back.
The fact you lose everything is a huge turn-off. Is there a way to keep your items upon respawning? Having a feature where your guns/gear gets damaged and maybe lose some ammo sounds a lot better than straight-up losing everything. Would this be possible to implement?
Here's a concept: You're just 'gravely wounded' and you were bought back to your factions base to be patched up (so perhaps even let a day or so pass before you respawn)
Let me know what you think. I'm going to take a look through your code to see what you've done to achieve this.
how can i uninstall it?
Some things i think would make this better:
- after you die and respawn, your previous saves are deleted.
- if you sleep in somewhere (not in a portable bed) it will set a new respawnpoint
- maybe a case (EFT Style) that you can bring with you? that you don't lost when you die?
- please bring back body cration :(

The secure container is a cool idea.
Do you think you could make more containers, à la Escape from Tarkov?
Ammo, weapons e.c.t. to organize stashes and possibly reduce the delay when opening your stash.
There was another doing something to this effect, he could help.
Might be good to have closest faction location rather than one fixed point. Dying in zaton might bring you to skadovsk as a loner, for example
there's any way to make the Safe container carry more?
Would be hard to make an addicional mechanic where you also lose all money? That would make things more realistic(first thing that get's looted is your wallet) and had more gameplay strategy (should I bring 50K rubles with me?).

Any chance you could create a lite version of this? As in have the player lose a percentage of their money and maybe a number of random items? It would basically be like waking up after being mugged.

To be honest, I have been looking for the experience of the Renaissance after death for a long time, because it was considered strange that I went on a walk, but had to write down old records.

And in order to make it easier to drag you, they pulled off your equipment that was killed by mutants or bullets.
