Thanks a lot, man! Finally, there is at least some replacement for the boring standard sounds of the PDA. It would be great if someone posted the PDA sounds like in this video Youtu.be

I tried to find something similar, but I never found it anywhere on the internet.

That is the exact modpack that I saw on youtube and never found the sounds in the modpack, so I made some. Glad someone likes them :) They are pretty easy to make with Audacity if you wanted to have a go yourself.

Yes, I could create something like this myself. To use as sounds for the PDA. But I didn't find similar sounds like an old Japanese clock or tamagotchi sounds :)

Try Casio watch sounds? Like G-Shock or something. They have similar sounds

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask! When creating his file .ogg sound, how to make the file have no errors in the game "missing ogg-comment"

you need to make sure that the Project Rate hz is 44100. Select your audio in Audacity (crtl+a) then click Tracks > Resample > change to 44100

Do you want to remove the clicking as well or just the beeps when you switch the PDA on and off?

I can't remember the file names (I am at work and I'll let you know for sure when I get home - or I can make the files for you). Essentially, you'll need to modify the holster sounds and remove the beep as that is integrated into the same sound file as the equipping and un-equipping the PDA

Thanks for the answer, if you can help me make the file, I will be grateful to you.

No worries, I'll post in here when I get home and let you know. I use audacity to modify the sound files - so make sure to grab that.

So the files you'll want to use are here on this drive called Silent.ogg Drive.google.com - rename it to pda_draw and put it into gamedata\sounds\device\pda. Make a 2nd copy and call it pda_holster and place it in the same location. That will eliminate the holster and beep sounds.

If you want to keep the same holster sound BUT remove the beep turning on and off, you'll need to download pda_holster and pda_draw from the same link above - open them with Audacity and delete the beep section of the sound file by highlighting that are and pressing delete. I can make that sound file for you if you want, but I thought I would let you have a go first :)

Sure, why not! I think that a lot of people including me would love to get the classic anomaly detector beep sounds from SoC as the alternative option, I think every one would enjoy this addon. Pls make it happen!

Oh, man, what a nice mod! So simple, yet so needed! This should be in the base game!
