Anomaly is a standalone S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod powered by an x64 version of the X-Ray engine. Starting with version 1.5.0 Anomaly uses a custom engine build called the XRay-Monolith engine. After almost one year of development of the Anomaly 1.5.0 update, the mod continues its way on expanding and adding new features while maintaining a high level of quality and replay value.

Do you know what else this addon does, Reter? I've noticed Mutants aren't homicidal/borderline suicidal anymore. When they take serious damage and are badly wounded I have noticed they enter fight or flight mode and since downloading this addon they crawl away or crawl and then die or go down fighting. It's pretty cool, was just wondering if there's more to this addon than just those few tidbits of details you listed in the description? :)

reter, this addon makes for a much more lively and dynamic Zone.

One note: I believe the 'alife.ltx' file should be in \gamedata\configs, not in \gamedata.

Yes, 'alife.ltx' needs to be in \gamedata\configs.
Otherwise, it will use the 'default' 750 switch-distance.

( Seeing as most maps have dimensions of max 1000x1000m,
a value of >1500 will make sure that it envelops the whole map. )

If you want/need some feedback:

With 'pop.factor humans 0.25', 'pop.factor mutants 0.5'
- the numbers of mutants seem immersive and balanced.

The number of Zombifieds is noticeably very high.
Decreasing it to 50-60% of the current numbers might be better.

( Can confirm the Z issue for: Truck Cemetery, Army Warehouses. )

I'm a bit confused, is this mod related to the mod LivingZone Non Stop 24/7? Moddb.com

Because the files and folder structure seem almost identical. I'm asking because the other mod caused a huge amount of ctd's when i tried it, so i had to uninstall it.

Yea, this is the original mod; the NonStope is a customized version

This one doesn't have a WAR like the NONSTOPE, this is lore friendly, i'm playing this from a month and i absolutely had no crash

Working fine so far, no CTD at Army Warehouses. Def. more going on but not absolute chaos.

No CTDs or other problems so far.

The Zone feels more alive, I can see mutants/enemies in places where I've never seen them before.

It truly feels that the AI is free and allowed to further evolve on its own.
Great increase in immersion.

Only thing that can be considered a con so far: upon travelling from Rostok to AW, I got right in the middle of 4 NPC enemies.

Recommended. May be considered for integration into Anomaly.

Must say, had the same situation with spawning in a group of enemies on changing levels even without this addon and the spawn exclusion zone set to 100. #JustXRayThings

Great addon.
Feel much more immersion. I'm now in Garbage and groups of stalkers fighting each other from time to time. Addon works amazing with JSRS Sound Overhaul. I would say it is 'must have' mod to fully enjoy the game since locations in basic Anomaly can be depressingly empty after a while. However, I'm not sure about spawns in this addon, hope stalkers would not kill each other and left you alone in space after few hours in game:p

The mod is stable so I strongly recommend!

I can confirm the increase in immersion and overall liveliness of the Zone.
- The number of Zombifieds needs decreasing.

It's suggested by the author to start a new one..

As far as I can tell it won't ruin a game in progress. IF it's like similar addons, it might take a while to see any real differences.

Excellent add-on. Really livens things up and various stalkers and mutants appear and places they didn't before. Makes you pay attention and takes you out of the comfort zone.

10/10 after some polish around the edges.

Question, does this affect preformance in any way? Also, does this addon make stalkers and mutants attack main bases? Like the warehouse containers in Jupiter or the bookstore in the outskirts? Cause I'm tired of having unique NPCs dying on me.

What seperates this from the Living Zone Notstope version? In the other one I believe they attack each others bases and will capture territory, in this one territorys remain the same and NPCs move from places to place instead of just having a place empty for the duration of the game?

Not sure if this mod was the cause of the military going bananas not shooting at all and screaming withouth moving, awesome mod the zone feels like warfare place now.

There are noticeable numbers of Zombifieds just 'gliding' and shooting, without animations.

Wasn't sure whether the vanilla version had this issue.

Others confirm this, so, and it'd be important to be fixed.

After playing some more with this add-on I can tell you - the Zone feels more alive, but it will mess up your quicksaves and the enemies will start appearing and disappearing randomly.
