The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
I really couldn't stand the footsteps on asphalt in Project INVERNO, to the point that I would actively avoid any roads or other asphalt surfaces simply because of how loud and grating the noise was, so I threw together a quick patch that replaces them with audio from Insurgency Sandstorm.
i love it
Excellent job! Btw, what reshade are you using?
It's just one that I threw together when I got bored sitting at a campfire, though I could see if I could send it to you some time if you're interested :p
It has some weirdness with flat surfaces sometimes because it uses SSAO, so walls and floors can end up looking noisy
Is this the same as this? Moddb.com
The add-on I just shared is already included by default in INVERNO, from v4 and onwards
I was thinking when I checked ModDB this morning that someone had just re-uploaded my own mod when I saw this come up. Sounds almost identical honestly
Check the date of upload of the other add-on, it was uploaded exactly a month ago
I don't think it's a re-upload
Yeah I'm saying this one seems like a re-upload of mine, which was the original. I downloaded this and compared it and it sounds almost identical
It's not, it's all ripped Insurgency Sandstorm audio, combined and slightly modified in Audacity.
Also, I don't mean this as a jab at you- but I made this one because I really didn't like the ones you made 😅 I personally hear a pretty big difference
Okay so I downloaded this and compared it in game instead of just listening to the preview, and I will concede I was wrong, they are 100% better than what I threw together 😅 I always forget just how crunchy YouTube makes audio, so nice work, seems like you put a fair bit of effort into it and I stand corrected lmao
No worries, and my apologies if I came off a bit rude. Thank you for understanding :^)
Better, better. Good job.
It's much better now. Thanks.
In the December updates, January "INVERNO" no longer works?
