Known bugs:
- White fog in a distance while using thermal visor at daytime. This is due to SSS 20.2 rendering fog scattering on top of infrared image. Ascii1457 promised to fix it for the next update of SSS.

What mod does?
Mod adds new thermal-vision NVG googles which highligth warm objects mode:humans, monsters, etc (like in the "Predator" movie"):
How to install?
- Install latest version of Demonized's Modifierd binaries from here.
- Install this mod via MO2 or just by manually dropping gamedata into your Anomaly folder.
- Use DX 11 or DX10 and clear shader cache before first launch!
How to find / use it?
For the sake of balance, you can obtain thermal-visor only in two ways:
- Craft it. New recipe is added to Tier-4 recipes.
- Buy it from Sakharov or Hermann at the highest reputation level (5), googles spawn with 10% chance and are VERY expensive.
To use them: use it as you use your regular NVGs - equip and press nvg-button (long-press if you have Beef's NVG). Beware that it consumes ALOT of battery power (as 3-4x Tier3-NVGs), so you cannot abuse them too much :)
To switch between "colour mode" and "black-white mode": press "J" while using them.
Can I tweak settings?
There are some settings in MCM. You can also tweek color/shader settings inside "infrared.h" file.
What's highlighted by "thermal vision":
- All NPC models
- All mutant models (even invisible bloodsuckers!)
- Player HUD models (hands)
- Cars and helicopters
- Sun and moon
- Some "hot" particles: muzzle-flash, gunpowder, smoke, campfires, some anomalies
There maybe some occasional "hot" objects that shouldn't be (LODs). That is a bug.
Beware that killed NPCs and mutant bodies are cooling down with time! Dead body loosing it's heat in approximately 20 seconds!
Compatibility:
- Mod is DLTXified and mostly touch shaders, should be compatible with 99% other addons.
- Mod is fully compatible with Beef's NVG.

how unbalanced is it
Haven't tested. But it surely makes night-raids and mutant spotting easier.
In games like Aliens vs Predator they tried to balance it out by making Aliens not show on the same frequencies as humans, so you had to swap from one to the other. Maybe some mutants or some very weird stalkers (Sin, zombies) could turn out to be cold-blooded.
Another option is making it drain batteries a lot. Or making it something really weird, like a drug that makes you see infrared.
I haven't tried it yet, but this looks like a wonderful mod.

сложно ли поменять цвета? прост у тепловизоров от белого до серых градаций бывает, более приятные цвета для глаза
В новой версии вынес константы цвета в топ файла infrared.h
Можешь по-твикать их и найти свой подходящий градиент теплоты
формат: float3 (R, G, B) где R,G,B - флоат от 0.0 до 1.1
Может быть потом добавлю переключаемый режим: цвет / чб

In MCM for Beef's NVG enable "Keep nightvision while scoping" setting.
Or change value "nvg_view_through_scope_mcm" to "true" manually in "z_beefs_nvg_mcm.script"

This is very cool, and am enjoying it a lot!. However based on the fact NVG's ( especially the Gen 3's ) are already very OP and strong even for late game night encounters, I'd be inclined to suggest making this addon also have the thermal vision be part of a entirely new device. The cost of the Gen 3 NVG's is moderate but not crazy, and with this addon the thermal vision they offer at the cost is obviously very imbalanced. Allowing the spotting of mutants and stalkers from hundreds of meters away with ease. If it's possible to just copy the the device settings and parameter files for the NVG's and apply them to a newly added device that would probably be easiest. You could also just use one of the night vision icons for it as well. I know trader injection isn't the easiest thing but it would be really cool to see a " thermal device " at high tier unlocked traders and or technicians for sale at huge cost, but essentially making you the predator lol. Regardless of what you decide to do this is very impressive and unique extension for Beefs NVG's.

While we are at it, there's something I read about in the past: scopes and night vision devices that were made to highlight other night vision devices. I don't know if any NPC in Anomaly actually uses NVG, but maybe, in the future... Both as the player having a device that highlights them, and them being able to track the player if his NVG are on as if the flashlight were visible. It would spice up night combat a bit.

Is it possible to add second vision? I would like to have nightvision combined with Heat signature from enemies. It would be like Cry-vision from Far Cry 1.

Hi there! This is a brilliant idea!
Just tried it out and it works really well but I wanted to report that apart from the problems described above, the ADS-mode does not work (the goggles just turn off whether the option is turned on or off in MCM) and the J-key does not switch color modes (for me, at least).
Check the latest version. Should fix the problem with regular NVGs.

Nevermind, I forgot to delete the shader cache. Dumb me.
