Shoutout to the uploader "Ethylia". Your addon inspired me to make another version of your idea.
I wanted to give Blowouts more tension and add a majestic and overwhelming feeling to the approach of such an Event.
INSTALLATION: drop gamedata folder into your Anomaly Main Folder (should be no overwrite idk really)
DEINSTALLATION: remove the folder blowout in Anomaly/gamedata/sounds/ambient/
THERE WILL BE THOSE WHO SAY IT IS TOO LOUD / IT IS TOO QUIET. OPINIONS. WE ALL HAVE THEM.
First File: This Sound was created by me in FL Studio.
Second File: This is an edited version of the BF4 OST - Titan Wrecks (No infringement intended, all content belongs to its respective parties.) Composed by Johan Skugge & Jukka Rintamaki. Bless those Guys!
If there is enough feedback i will consider adding optional volume tweaked folders.
IMPORTANT: YOU PLAY ANOMALY WITH SOUNDTRACK ? NO PROBLEM (IN MY OPINION)
THIS ADDON AND THE SOUNDTRACK WILL BOTH BE PLAYED AT HALF VOLUME BUT IT´S RLY WAS NOT THAT BAD
FOR SOME REASON (ye idk im no modder read below)
READ THIS FOR UNDERSTANDING: I am no modder i know some things about FL Studio and that´s it.
I wanted to upload this merely for fun. To see if others like my idea. :P
Before anyone complains. You can listen to the ogg files in the Folder blowout and it´s really easy to deinstall so give it a try and use the Debug mode and F7 to trigger an Emission.
I like these sounds! Fits into the existing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. climate.
Thanks a lot. Enjoy!
I love your FL track, would be good to see a script that makes the ambient music stop when your emission song starts... maybe should be a bit louder but still love it
:P so kind of you thx. If you play without anomaly music it seems to be louder for some reason. I already uploaded a newly mixed version with the first track being a little louder, i think that it hits the spot ;)
Where's the Solomon theme from BF3? Guess ill have to do my own hehe
I'll check it out but until now it only is possible to play 2 diffrent songs randomly when an Emission occurs. We need some nifty modders to look into it.
I actually tinkered a bit and found the surge_manager script that handles the sounds during a blowout and you could absolutely package as many songs as you want and do much more with some simple additions. You could even have music for before, during or after a surge (although my testing is having issues with sleeping to skip time right now).
Alright thats cool :D I would like to know how to change it to add more music cause i got a whole List of songs i would add.
Too bad i suck at coding...
I'm not at home right now so I can't look at it but the easiest way I found to add more is to add entries in the blowout_sounds table that's set in the init function pretty early in the file and go all the way to the update function where the blowout begins and extend the code that plays the blowout_begin 1 or 2. I'll try to make a file that can support more songs or something when I get back.
I just updated my addon and it lets you add up to 50 songs now, feel free to use it for your own addon!
Thank you mate. Really appreciate it!
Having some specific ambient sounds before the surge would be actually a good idea, like hearing birds flying away (ik theres no birds in zone more than crows and owls blahblhablah whatever) to tell you that **** is about to hit the fan
Funny you mention it. Actually i tested bird sounds while the music in my addon fades in and i found it too obvious. You hear that specific sound and know **** is about to hit the fan. Thats why i delayed the music until the giant supercell cloud is visible to gibe it a bit more of a surprising element. (Yes the radio makes sounds when its about to happen but still)
Of course i would consoder making an optional file with bird flocks or mutants making noise in the distance like a big *** roar from a chimera or other unknown mutant sounds ;)
But i need someone to help me out with scripts and stuff since im only good at editing sounds and music.
more high sound please, the boom need to be more inmersive, i need to lose my teeth with each boom
the sounds in this addon are dependant on the snd_eff volume if you set it under 0.5 yes it is pretty silent. i´m also still working on an update with many more tracks included :P
