"Stalingrad 42" is a submod for "Eastern Front". As the name might imply, it focuses on the brutal struggle over the city of Stalingrad, from the Summer of 1942 to the capitulation of the pocket in February 1943. S42 adds realistic weapon stats, realistic gameplay ( like fuel and ammo consumption ) and historical units to the game, while it mostly removes the teching and upgrade aspect. The Mod also features unique summer and winter maps and skins, adds some more units to the soviet factions ( like early T-34, BA-10 or T-26 )and supplies the germans with units like Flakpanzer I, early StuG IIIs or StuIG 33

that is provided by Eastern Front Mod. As stated in the text, it need EF being installed to work. For now.
Put it on Steam, man! Good work!I love Moddb, but i'm a litle tired of "copying, pasting, tweaking, changing, read only checking, read only unchecking, messing standard installations". Looks professional just watching the video. It's a fantastic work for sure.

oh, well, just downloaded the mod and i cant really open it.I have multiple disks so ink doesnt works, i tried to launch coh with -dev -mod S42 but for some reason it isnt working too, so now, im just sitting here trying to understand how to launch the mod and i would like some help
go to your steam library, right click on your Comapny of Heroes and choose "Properties". There you can edit the start options... in the field, enter "-dev -mod S42". Then just start your standard CoH
Well, as i told you earlier i did enter -dev -mod S42 but mod doesnt launch, thats the problem and yes, i have eastern front mod downloaded,anyway thanks for answering
Sorry, I wasn't aware that you already used that option.
Anyway, just tried that myself and works for me.
Please doublecheck that the S42.module files and the S42 folder (and content) really are in your CoH root folder.
Other than that I have no idea tbh...

I install the EF and S42 then i start the skirmish but my soldier can't move at all can you help me ?

Squad is too big so that will be wiped out by a single grenade when get out of a building.
And the auto repair... I think it's better to be manual, it's too dangerous to repair under enemy fire, what's more, when I send troops try to kill enemy crew, they respawn immediately, wtf
The crew is just more or less a visual, you mod CoH yourself.. such a system does not work 100% in CoH.

Does the Eastern front version matter?
Your CoH Version matters.... Is it the Steam version?
Its 2.602 the non steam version
I can run the Eastern front mod fine without any crash
I think i fixed the problem, so i was using Eastern front 2.30 to run stalingrad 42 but i managed to find eastern front version 2.5 the non steam version, i can play on the relic and mod maps but some custom maps still crashes

Can't get it to work. I already had it running once but now I always get the error:
'Game is not being run as a known Company of Heroes product. Try again by launching game from Steam.'
Tried this both from a manually created shortcut as well as a shortcut from steam both with the ' -dev -mod S42 -unlock_all_missions' line.
Steam thinks this mod is ModernCombat mod.
I believe my Issue might be caused by Gamedir ≠ C:\
So i installed the S42 and it works skirmish works but but all the missions are locked it says im missing data i installed everything what am i missing???
Nothing. There is only skirmish.
I also have Eastern Front. Have downloaded Stalingrad 42 three times and explicily followed instructions to install. None have worked. Mod will not install. Please help. Thank you
