G'day fans of The Special Extended Edition. This demo was originally uploaded at The Third Age, Revora Forums in 2007. And to celebrate the revival of SEE I am uploading the SEE Beta 4.5. Instructions from Nazgul "Important: This download is a stuffed RAR-file, meaning it needs to be Unpacked, using 7zip or similar program! Unpack to somewhere on your hard drive, then follow the "Installation Instructions"* included - carefully and there shouldn't be any problems. You can't sabotage anything, but you won't get the mod to load if you don't follow the instructions. So please do that and you'll SEE that it works perfectly!" Read the description below for a summary of Beta 4.5 written by Nazgul (in November, 2007). This is not the end of The Special Extended Edition, only the beginning. Doesn't work on Win 10 for me either. At the start up the small launch screen appears and then it says BFME II doesn't work anymore.

Creating an options.ini file in that folder is a standard game issue.

Good question, that requires testing.
Another important question is if it works on T3A:Online.

Yes, it works on lan. It is playable through gameranger, but I don't think it can use T3A online.
Anyway, it could be possible. I will test it ;)
It works in tunngle, but not in gameranger.
In online option, it asks to install an update before playing, and if you click "ok", then it says administrator rights are required.

I tried it for my kids (on lan) but the problem is : " serial keys is already in use".
I search some more infos and i find this : we must have 2 differents serial keys . we have to buy a second game or payed 10 dollars to EA for a second keys and it seems the key free are does not worked....
does someone have another way ?

yes too. I'have Collector edition that i get in second hand but legal , i run it on pc and after running game, put the same dvd on the 2nd pc. We can play skirmish regardless but no on Lan…
I didn't try T3A:Online yet because i'm a verry baddly level , old and eternely newboy : i'm massacred at 2 mn : i’m a quietly hobbit and my two kids too!...
and i understood it 's run with the WitchKing (?) i don't have it.

I got the Collector's Edition secondhand as well. =D
You can connect via LAN using ethernet cables connected between each computer. Or if your computers connect to the internet with the same WiFi router then you can play a LAN game like that.
T3A:Online restores the online function, which means that your computers do not need to be connected via LAN. You can set up your own private matches with a password so that only your friends or family.

If I remember correctly this is because of a version mismatch. Make sure you have BfME II 1.06

Hi i did exactly as it said in the discription but i get an folder insted off the game luncher.
i fixed it i fogot lotrbfme2.exe to put in the end lol
BfME II mods work with shortcuts with modified targets. Direct the shortcut to your BfME II game exe and change the target to the SEE folder.

I've followed the steps correctly but I'm getting this ShadowLOD error that's blocking me from playing the game. I've seen some other comments that are similar to mine but I don't really understand the replies because I've done what they've said and some others I just don't understand cause I'm not exactly a computer genius

glad to see you're still working on the mod, love it! but could we get a download of maybe the haradrim faction? theyre one of the most interesting factions in lotr, and would love to play as a full army of them.
also, would it be possible to add in angmar through mod, for those of us who cannot afford the 60+ cost of the mod on ebay or amazon?

Hello, the latest official patch is the one you should use when playing mods. That is 1.06.
