Mod is tested only on Singleplayer so there can be some unexpected bugs in Multiplayer.

My name is phale, and I'm a BF2 modder who has helped out behind the scenes with SOW, Alpha Project, and other mods. For everyone who is a fan of SOW, I know it's been a long time without any news, but you don't have to wait any longer! Sgt_Prof has given me permission to release a brand new mod, inspired by Spec Ops Warfare and built on SOW content. The mod is called Heat of Battle, and you can find it here.
Spec Ops Warfare was the first mod that really opened my eyes to the limitless possibilities of BF2 modding. Its smooth animations, realistic 3D sights, and fast-paced gameplay inspired me to build my own mod, based on SOW, and add in new content to suit my own style. Over the past four years, I've been working on that mod, tweaking everything about it and adding content created by members from all over the modding community. Heat of Battle is my thank-you-letter to all of those amazing creators, since without them it would not exist. So I have to give extra special thanks to the SOW developers, since they were the ones that started it all for me.
To everyone that has played SOW or helped make it, thank you! I hope you'll enjoy my new mod once it's released!

Some fixes for SOW2.5. Working on next, bigger patch with more maps and few more skins.
If you can't load maps on custom video settings. SOW2.5 have high quality terrain textures so it doesn't support custom video settings and cause crash.
First mappack for Spec ops warfare ! myanmar and basra are in. True BF fan should know those from BFP4F. Now it's time to test them on BF2 with all out...
i found some bugs,especially with the Chinese weapons
Alright! here it goes!
The G36C has a small square which doesn't go along with the animation, thus when you run you see a small square floating in front of you (it happens sometimes, but not always)
the reloading sounds for the anti tank's rifle are not synchronized
the Chinese Machinegun doesn't have firing and reloading sounds
The Chinese pistol doesn't have reloading sounds
The animations on the soldiers (all of'em) sometimes glitch (legs don't move)
it can create funny poses but it messes up the hitboxes so it's hard to shoot/hit/kill someone
now to the Russian Spetsnaz.
the revolver sometimes gets messed up and doesn't use its own holding animation,but instead uses the ones from the last weapon you were holding and it messes up the model (also the bullet textures on the reloading are kinda off)
and their anti tank's rifle doesn't have reloading sounds
and a bug that is for all the Factions is that the Incendiary Grenade Launcher doesn't have firing and reloading sound, can you make a patch and upload it in the comments or download section? it'd be highly appreciated!!! :D
I love Your Mod by the way, it really satisfies my hunger for FPS-Gaming plus it's very well done! 10/10!
Strange, a lot of the bugs that you mention I've never seen, like the G36 for example, which I use a lot.
Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the random crashes on some maps getting sorted out.
You're right though, this is a great mod. SP is really good fun! :-)
To be honest all the mods i download are always buggy for me, strange though cause i never see anyone complaining about bugs :/
and yeah, me too sometimes i get random crashing on some maps, especially on uhh..Cold Front i think it's called, it crashes at 15% ;-;
Which version of this mod are you running, 2.5 or 3.0?
oh! i remembered now the last bug..some weapons can change firing mode but they don't actually do so..i don't remember what weapons have that bug but like if i press 3 to select my main weapon and then i press 3 again to change fire mod, it'll do the firing-mode changing animation but without actually changing fire-mode
3.0, also there are a couple of bugs i forgot to mention
the medic's rifle on the USMC team makes an fully automatic firing sound when shooting in single-shot firing mode, same thing goes for the PP2000 on the Spetsnaz team, and also the uhh...Golden-like sniper rifle with the silencer in the USMC team most of the time doesn't hit, i shot an Spetsnaz 3 times on the head and 5 times on the body but the bullets went through, even from far and close range :/ there's also one more bug but i forgot what it was...
Actually All the Bugs you mentioned are Already known. and Prof is still fixing it because of the faulty Codes, In Case of the Animation, the faulty floating things besides, upsides, right side, and left side is that the animation is not Compatible for the weapon Model.
