This new video shows the final sounds for Germany.

since the first Germany demo posted back in March, 2014.

I am intending a release for - SOUND ASSAULT - mod after I finish testing it properly in Assault Squad 2.
Current progress now makes this mod release to be July, 2014.

I like Assault Squad. I like high quality sound. I wanted better sounds for this game. I learnt how to make them.
About 9 months ago I started making HD sounds for Assault Squad.
Then Assault Squad 2 was announced and I am now intending to make and release this mod after it comes out.

SOUND ASSAULT - HD sounds mod aimed for Assault Squad 2, but will also work with Assault Squad.
I am posting videos that show the standard Assault Squad sounds and the new HD sounds from SOUND ASSAULT mod.
There will be new HD sounds for each Nation infantry weapons.

These sounds are designed for higher than standard computer audio hardware.
I use ASUS Xonar Essence STX soundcard and Sennheiser HD600 headphones which allow very high quality audio detail.

My aim for this mod is to be close to the sounds of the real WW2 guns as possible.
I tried to capture the real character of the gun from what I have heard from live fire videos.
There will also be new explosions and other new sounds.

All new sounds for infantry guns shown in the Assault Squad Nation guides, up to and including the infantry mortars.

why do you care who uses your sounds isn't it a bit selfish?
Ego. No one's doubting his hard work and he deserves a LOT of praise, but withholding something that would enrich the game for everyone due to the risk of having the work used without his permission elsewhere is a bit over-the-top.

Sorry about that for the genuine players that were going to use this original made sounds mod only for Assault Squad game, which I love the game alot.
I was going to put mod rules / conditions on it like these sounds are exclusive to Sound Assault mod only, and only for use in AS2 and 1 but even with MODDB mod protection that was a stupid ideal and would be impossible to do. So I had to keep it sacred from the mod content thieves and stop release.
Nearing completion of my mod in July, I started to read how to protect it. You cannot. Only other mod makers might know that or care. Even releasing demos, other modders will loot your creation straight away. Example - Rising Empire mod demo for AS1.
It would be too much of a nuisance watching and hunting down the mod content thieves on MODDB, and then they just move it to another site.
I feel bad about it but happier than I would if it was released and looted.
