To anyone who might be interested in playing another game with a somewhat similar mood, go check out the original Marathon trilogy from Bungie. It's no secret that the author of Someplace Else and MINERVA was heavily inspired by those games, and I was surprised to see how strong the influence was upon playing them.
Incidentally, the Marathon games have long been released for free, and there is a source port readily available to comfortably play them on any modern PC :)

does anyone recommend that i play this BEFORE i play minerva?
they arent directly connected lore-wise speaking so feel free to play whatever mod u want first. However, if we talk about difficulty then I would suggest going for this one as a "level 1" and then Minerva as "Level 2"

Funfact: The guy who made this mod was hired by Valve because they were soo empressed by what he did.
