You are just random guy who made mistake by entering ww2 bunker somewhere in the pacific island and he found truth about High-Tech Complex named Argos wich is hidden beneath the ww2 bunker in the underwater cave
Warning: This is not a personal attack on the author, this is merely a critique of his work.
Pros:
- Really great detail being put into every part of the mod
- Lighing is on point, increased by the removal of the flashlight
- Good use of the monster
- Great use of the unused props from SOMA, especially the plane
Cons:
- No plot except for the description, the monster is not explained at all and comes out of no where
- Certain puzzles were not explain well enough and made little sense even when I solved them
- Some interactable areas would not be removed even when they should, breaking the immersion a bit
- The ending wasen't very satisfying, it just showed the outside and faded to black
- There is levels promised in the screenshots that do not end up in the mod. Very disappointed
Overall, this is a 6/10, with a point taken away for false advertising. While the story and gameplay were a little lacking it made up with some really nice lighting and detailing.
Overall, the mod is good.
Urban level design and lighting is good
(Although the station maps needs some work with the lighting and soundscape areas).
The mod have some grammar mistakes/the arrangement of the sentences is not really solid, which makes the story a bit hard to get.
The story itself isn't really something new, but it's there.
The biggest problem with this mod are the puzzles. Some of them are very bland, and they really not make any use with the environment. You need to find the button, press it, move on, find the chip, put it in the thing, move on and repeat. I know you said it's just a "test mod", but it really kills the gameplay for me.
If you make more interesting puzzles rather than "finding the chip and finding the button", the mod will be much better.
Great design as usual, just often too dark in key spots, and the fact it doesn't have a flashlight is baffling. Finally managed to finish it after checking the walkthrough for some unnecessarily hidden items :D
It's good and enjoyable, just would need some polish with puzzles and story.
