Adds maps set on various planets and moons throughout our Solar System to SWBF2's Instant Action. Both stock eras include new sides with enhanced visuals and sounds, as well as new hero units. Supports Mass Effect era if installed.

Description

Many people think Mass Effect 3's Multiplayer should have been more similar to Battlefield or Battlefront with large-scale epic battles and the like; Mass Effect: Unification does just that.

If you do not have the official 1.1 patch AND the unofficial 1.3 patch installed, nothing from the mod will be loaded into the game. In regards to the config tool, did you install the .NET Framework 4.0 setup that was run with the mod's installer? Also, which version of Windows are you running?

It is very unfortunate that what looks to be a great mod is nearly impossible to install. After wasting my entire day of trying to get this to work I can honestly say I can't be bothered anymore. Many conflicts if you have your steam located in a different spot than it's generic install location. Browsing and selecting your new Battlefront location causes many problems. I have been unable to get R2 or R3 to work. There are horrible instructions on how to do this. Am I supposed to install all 3 in order? Or is only the latest required. In any case I have to go to bed to wake up early for bed. ****.

Just copy your Battlefront II directory to the install path. You do not need to nor should you install all three versions in order. Only install the latest version; each version thus far has been a full version - no patches.

We apologize for the inconvenience. :( Inno Setup Compiler, while great, can be very difficult to work with and very frustrating to get things right.

Hey so I tried what you said and I have been able to install it into my Battlefront folder. When I start the Config Utility it goes " 1. 2. 3. 4. then says '0Could not find a part of the path C:Users/AppData/Local/Mass Effect - Unification/BatchStates.txt'. then 8. Command Execution successful" The options are all there, they are not greyed out. Can pick gameplay, factions and all that. Though when I go to start Battlefront 2 in steam it is just star wars not the mod. Thanks for the help btw

Does a file called "Update1_1.txt" exist in your main "Star Wars Battlefront II" directory?

It does it is at the very bottom. So inside the directory, when I open the install folder there is another SWBF2 folder in there, when I open that it looks like the mass effect files and folders. Is that not where it's supposed to be? so it's like: steamapps\common\SWBF2\Install\SWBF2. Inside of that is addon, data, save games and the uninstall.exe for ME

Wait, the heck?!?!?!?!? Yeah, those are all of MEU's files... *sigh* Cut and paste them into the GameData directory.

Alright I moved all the files into the GameData directory. I am now running the Mass effect mod when I start the game. Though whenever I launch a map it immediately crashes

Which maps have you tried? Can you play stock maps in stock eras?

I have tried most of them. It crashes constantly on launch. Even if I pick the normal eras clone wars or galactic. So I cannot play anything on any mode or era

Try going into your Audio options in the game and setting the Mixer to "Disabled".

Hmm. Try consulting problem 3 in the latest news article, but proceed with attempting to load a map instead of closing the application manually at the profile screen.

Damn I don't know why I can't get this to work. The same exact thing happened when I was trying to get R2 to work last week. Well thanks for trying I do appreciate the help

So does this change the base game in any way or is it just a separate Era you choose?

It's a separate era you choose, the base game is still completely playable.

When I attempt to start the config file it says it cannot locate the "config.xml", nor the "cfg" or "Bin" locations. Selecting the proper locations doesn't work.

What exactly do you mean by that last sentence? Are you positive you are selecting the correct directories?

Also, question(s)/message from the developer:

"Ask if they're using a 64- or 32-bit system. It's possible that when it didn't find the files where it thought they'd be, it made those directories itself. But because none of the files would have been generated with it, selecting them would do no good. So when they selected the bin and cfg folders, they were selecting the empty ones on accident (which they should be able to tell by whether or not the (x86) notation is in the "Program Files" portion of the path. Another way to check would be to check both folders manually to see if the one they're selecting has any files in it (and checking to make sure there isn't an empty on in the other pathway)."

Sure, go right ahead. :) Also, I recommend using Freecam with the HUD hidden. To do this, enter Freecam and press Backspace to unpause the game.
