The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.
Ahh.. Agroprom... what am I gonna do with you? Still haven't decided which one to use, the Clear Sky or the Shadow of Chernobyl one. Both have their pros and cons, what do you guys think?
I reckon the SoC version, it has been detailed pretty well.
Clear Sky with both of Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky undergrounds.
that would mean that the previous work on 3 locations would be wasted. (and also involve a serious amount of recreating the levels in 3ds max)

I like the CS version and the SHOC alike. The CS version is cool because of the Snork den, and the Duty base.

I'd say use the one that is larger. You could add smaller details and coolness to improve either one if you wanted. But making them larger and covering ALL those details would probably take longer.
That said I dont have CS and dont recall the area from SOC.

From the design, I would choose the CS version.
I like it more, than the SoC version.
Advantage is the base in the CS version which is more detailed than in SoC.

yes, the CS version is a lot more detailed. More detail means more work though. On the other hand the SoC version is better connected to the surrounding maps. (since Yantar, Agroprom Underground and Garbage are from SoC)
Its a lot of work that you've got with the whole mod, but I would appreciate it.
The connections between the levels would make sense also, since you used the CS cordon, if I remember right...
Ok... connecting the garbage wouldn't be that easy.
But there should be a way to fit them together^^
I personally prefer the CS version, but I certainly won't mind if you choose otherwise.
CS version, I would love to go mutant hunting again and see a torrential pour of mutants flood across the Zone from the Underground emerging from the various holes scattered around Agroprom...

For me Aggy was one of my favourite areas in CS. But that was more to do with the life there than anything so I suppose it don't really matter above ground. It would just be nice if you could link the undergrounds into 1.
I kinda agree with David.m.e, the life there was felt comforting, like the huge stalker base first, then the Duty base afterwards. However it ****** me off when I didn't protect the base from a bandit attack and one of them shot the trader through the window :/.

Well, I'll definitely use the SoC Agroprom Underground, it's a lot more atmospheric (and also larger) than the Csky one.
SOC version id prefer but id be happy with which ever you choose, Thanks for your hard work
I prefer the atmosphere of the SHoC Agroprom.
But I'm not sure that would really matter with CoP's engine since CoP is pretty atmospheric by itself.
If that's the case then definately CS.
i liked the SOC one but for the mod i think clear sky will be better
The SHOC Aggroprom was cool, it felt cold and silent. I dont feel the same about CS Aggroprom, for me, it was way too populated with humans. IF you choose CS Aggry, dont fill both bases with stalkers, leave the Duty base with people, the other one should be abandoned, with some occasional Loners raiding and setting up a camp sometimes, but they should mainly fight against mutants like the Spiders you've added. I wouldn't mind a small camp somewhere near the railway tracks, with either Loners or Bandits (Does faction war works on cop?)
If you populate Aggroprom too much (With humans), it wouldn't be fun. Btw, i hope you make the open ground of Aggroprom dangerous, it shouldnt be a walk in the park ;)
My only problem in general with the maps in CS were the number of relatively safe areas. You couldn't walk ten meters in any direction without running into a camp of friendly stalkers, so wandering around never felt quite as dangerous. The CS maps were, to their credit, more detailed, but if you can limit the number of NPC's outside the base areas, I would like it better.
Ultimate Agroprom recipe: Use Clear Sky layout combined with ShoC underground, style it (ambient and colours) like in ShoC (dark, cold, lonely place) and populate it all as it was in ShoC. It'd make perfect sense game-wise. But it's work for the titans...

smrter i have a question for you.. im SOC you get messages of mutants storming up from the agroprom underground.. would that be possible to add a spawn in agroprom, where they travel throughout to the agroprom itself? and also those little events, would it be possible to increase the event rate somehow?
