The aim of this mod is to add in the old locations from ShoC and Clear Sky, and to provide an enhanced and extended gameplay experience while (mostly) sticking to the vanilla storyline. At this point, the mod (v0.45 alpha)contains 37 locations total, approx. 200 weapons, lots of new armors, items, artifacts and anomalies.

OMG... DEAD FOR... I mean RED FOREST!!! I can only imagine the ambient sounds this area will make. Roaming Anomalies, Creatures... the dead... O my!

It's barely recognisable from the pic, Then again it might not even be where I'm thinking it is.
It looks like the location of the anomaly in the Clear Sky map for Red Forest. There was an optional quest to lead a group of Stalkers there after you chased Strelok.

I think the fog should be a little bit darker to better match the lighting but other than that it looks awesome.

very amazing, but smrter, you will keep the red forest from clear sky too? i mean that forest with red colours gives you the autumn atmosphere, its very amazing....BTW great job!
that is the red forest from Clear Sky, I didn't change the level, the witches circle always looked like that, well, except from the fog and the undead lurking around.^^

Fog doesn't look too good imho, is it on alpha_add? try alpha add with parent color white set to 0.2 or something softer. These "hard" clouds aren't looking really nice. Great start though :) and hey smrtr, if you need particles, im your man ;) drop me a pm
no, it's not set to alpha_add, that would make the fog glow. Like every other fog particle in the game it's set to blend.
I really dont get why? and thy wont glow, they will be less visible :) but your mod, your choice ^^ ill probably edit it later when i have the mod ;)
You don't have to believe me, but I assure you if you set this particle to alpha_add it will glow like white phosphorus.
Really love the silent hill ambiance the fog delivers: I'm glad no one is bashing this style either, since I remember in a previous mod I played everyone detested it as it had a SH resemblance. Though I really like what you've done, and you have perfectly blended the STALKER atmosphere with that of your fog (Presuming a SH style)
I zoomed into the screenshot and I have to say it looks like a Terminator.

What does dynamic fog mean?
Do you see traces of the enemies in the fog as well?
Or is it "only" moving like it was shown in the short clip a few days ago?
I could add collision to it but it would drain too much performance. By 'dynamic' I mean that the fog fields can change their location and be switched on and off on certain events. (i.e. the dredger in zaton could be hidden in a wall of fog that would disappear when you remove the artifact from it)

the fog could be like in misery... it was actually a very good fog... in addiction you could use that fog of yours to even make it better. I think it would be worth at least a try :D ( Not saying by any means that your work is inferior to others, just saying something i guess it would look good :D )

I guess that, seeing as the skyboxes and weather can change, darkening the fog would just make it look bad for lighter weather.
In Clear Sky you have to escort that group of stalkers here, will we still be able to do that?
Mmmmmm i cannot wait for this mod , my PC can run SoC and CoP fine , but CS for some reson was not into it. Now i get to explore the portions of the zone that for so long were denied to me.....Oh zone...how i love you..
The fog could do with being made a bit darker in my opinion, otherwise excellent work.
And viewing the image full size shows the figure is very "skeletal". Hm...
If the fog was darker it would look like smoke, especially during daytime. The creature is an undead, a highly decomposed Zombie, some bones stick out.

I'll avoid Red forest..for sure. It was enough creepy in CSky and SMRTER vearsion...you'll need a tank to go through..
That fog could be used well to hide snorks in the most clever way :)
