SMOD: Tactical is a modification of the single-player SMOD(Super Mod) for Half-Life 2. This mod takes advantage of SMOD's robust customization capabilities to offer players realistic, tactical gameplay with real-world equipment and firearms in the style of games and mods like Rainbow 6, Operation Flashpoint, Red Orchestra, and Infiltration.

I love the mod, but in any version except the first, i install it into sourcemods, but it never shows up in the library, other wise it would be a 10/10.
BTW if you know how to fix this, tell me please, messege me! and i have quit steam many times and opened it again, only the first version shows up, no other versions, so please help
I have to say, this is one of the best mods I have ever played out of all the SMODs I have installed.
This adds a sense of actual realism, instead of getting toys to play with in the Half Life 2 campaign. There are also side missions to play, so you can still complete the Half Life 2 campaign and still keep playing!
You can practice your skills using the Shooting Range. You can get there by typing in the console "map Shooting_Range".
There are a number of cheats too. You can type "exec neo" to make yourself the Chosen One, and get duel wield weapons and infinite ammo. I did find it a bit hard to revert it back, but that doesn't really matter.
I would recommend this mod to a friend that has Half Life 2 and Counter Strike Source any day. It's why I give this mod 10/10.
Easily in the top 10 for mods using the source engine. Very realistic game-play adding many new mechanics to the game including new weapons and maps and many more. Gives GREAT replay ability to the half-life 2 storyline.
Kick *** mod. Definitely my favorite mod. The only concern that I have about this mod is that the screen is a little hard to see with when your being shot up constantly, but that just encourages you to use the "lean" command. That and some of the maps that you can play on don't work as well as they should, and most of the maps have to be accessed through the console for you to be able to play them. However, those maps kick ***, especially csc_desert. That map is a must!!!
All in all, if you got CSS and HL2, you shouldn't be without this mod. If you are without it, MUST DOWNLOAD. It is easily the best realism mod I have ever played, not to mention that if it is counted as a game, probably one of the, if not the best, games I have played.
By the way, the bullettime is a must. Nothing kicks more *** than kicking a guy in the face, then when he falls over, shooting the guy behind him with a Colt Python. Just pure badass.
fun game! I love the config screen. the only problem I had with it was that the zombie map is way too hard... that and the fact that all of the zombies were replaced with mossman models! (lol)
