“What would happen if we applied Earth 2150 to Homeworld?” -- Slipstream: The Price of Freedom is just that. Or, at least, was supposed to be just that. What started as a multiplayer combat simulator, ended as the first entry into the Slipstream universe.

I'm afraid I have to say that I don't, but that's probably the part of me that's hooked on Shipyards being Shipyards and being built under the Capital Ships section, so I'll give it a try once you release a new version.

Well, they don't need a Platform Module. Its just there because Factories are more like "Platforms" than they are capital ships.

They'll be replaced eventually though, with fortresses and bases that wouldn't be able to go anywhere very fast, hence their classification as platforms.

Will there be any use for the current Shipyard models though?

Oh they are the same model, beefed up with defenses. That will be the "baseLine" model.
