On a sidenote: Me and another of the active modders, Dire_Venom, are looking into adding Tau as an AI faction for the campaign.

Cool, but inclusion of the Tau faction in the main company is associated with many difficulties. In the game Tau have no defensive structures, such as stations and platforms, and if they take the sector as they will defend it?
Or have you found a way to integrate them (stations and platforms) into the game?

They have defensive structures like stations etc. What we would do is change out say Imperial Pirates with them and give them some planets.

I mean, just a small suggestion, that the main body of the ship looks unmatching to the main gun, it is hmmm, too small, also, for TAU empire which truly values balance as their philosophy, TAU ship is generally close to circular or square which its width and length do not differ a lot. Still, Truly glad to see such wonderful work!!!

Im currently limited to making the game re-arrange its own shipparts into new things, which is like making a complicated puzzle of parts that seldom fit together after just writing the code and starting up the game to see what happened - up to a hundred times in some cases. Better than nothing though. :)

Hmm the tau in campaign definantly sounds interesting and exciting, hope you and the team can pull it off bud, do you plan to add more ships to the Tau and eldar fleet as well?

Yes, both Eldar and Tau are getting reinforcements for the 1.8 version. Tau are getting a complete overhaul.

Description

My first titan for Tau is done. (well, some weapon changes are going to happen as I do my general overhaul as well)
A ton of torpedoes, ample hangars for all those mantas, several powerfull weapons and one super weapon that will one-shot smaller ships. Its a nasty package alright, but will be weak in close quarters and have a bad turnrate as well. For the upcoming 1.6 version.
