Hi. And can you make ordinary infantry (submachine gunners), so that they would not be in T-shirts + body armor, but in a shirt + body armor? Like the same radio operators, rocket mens or infantry with armor-piercing Morita? But at the same time with a conventional rifle, not with a carbine and not with an armor-piercing?
If you look at the example of the movie, now the machine gunners look like in a mission, where Johnny Rico blew up a Tanker with a grenade. And I would like them to be like in the mission at the outpost where Raschek and Dizzy died.
I was digging into assets, but I didn't understand anything, where is the connection with models and textures.
I changed the model of the submachine gunners in the csv unit file, for the same rocket men. But it turned out that the weapon is tied to the model of the soldier, so it's not easy to change it.
Hey, that's been on my to-do list for a while, and I've finally added it. Next version will have rifle squads with full sleeves.
Its an awesome mod but I do not know why you cant use them in vanilla campaign. I just want to use your units in vanilla.
Hi, The vanilla campaign missions restrict deployable units to only the units allowed for that mission. I have edited a few of the vanilla missions and uploaded them to the Steam Workshop that unlock all units. You can find them with 'SICON' in front of the original mission name.
How do you edit assets files? What application do you use? I would like to keep the vanilla color pattern for the Powered Armor troopers, cheers!
I edit the assets using AssetBundleExtractor_3.0. The texture is in the Resources.assets file, called power_suit (id 954).
Alternatively you can just delete the Resources.assets from the mod before you install to leave the textures as default.
Cheers for the response, I was able to figure that out a day ago. Looks like a fun tool to use, as I've been tinkering with some files for hours now but the network of references are just headache inducing lol, just need to make the game recognize the new entry.
Would you be posting a updated mod for the current version on the game?
the engineers can not build the new buildings in most campagne missions,
and wath are the commands to spawn the apc and new units in the connsole ?
Most campaign missions limit which units can be deployed. If you download the SICON collection from the Steam Workshop, they will unlock all units for those missions.
