Since it didn't fit in the description:

Wolfhound main weapon:
- 10,5 anti-tank cannon firing SABOT shells, these can pierce multiple vehicles in a row, excluding the heaviest of vehicles.
The cannon is a very dedicated anti-vehicle weapon, using it against anything else is not advised.

Secondary Ability:
-Fortify
Switch to 'bunker' mode, immobilizes the Wolfhound, but grants a larger field of fire, and higher resistance against damage.

---

I can't wait to see how well these do at defense, and since I've never really liked mirage tanks I think I will use these more. Plus I'm a defensive player so the fortify mode will be great for me!!! :)

I see Paradox reference... Wiki.paradoxmod.com

Incorrect. Paradox's Wolfhound is reference to this, because I was the one who made Wolfhound in Paradox, no one else. And I decided to suggest this unit for Shock Therapy.

This is why I've come to dislike Paradox -_-

What reason you particularly mean? To make it clear, I first made Wolfhound in Paradox just as lore thing, thought I was hoping they would include it. They dont, but it dont bothered me. After their exile of me and practically eradicating me from their "records", later I joined Shock Therapy, and there I returned to idea of Wolfhound and suggested it. And the team liked it, and now it is one of the pivotal units of a possible Allied campaign of Shock Therapy. :) Dont take it that we are actively working on the campaign or something, it is one of the ideas we have.

So I can add "ignorance" to "not an original bone in their body" of the things already on the list.

Paradox is just a bad, bad mod. They're like the Micheal Bay of RA3 Modding.

Well, I would little correct it. The team is really bad people, but mod is good. What they have accomplished in modding RA3 is unparalleled, and once they accomplish it it will be a masterpiece.

Because even they are basing their factions on real-life scenarios and various franchises (like Star Trek), they are still able to formulate it that it is different thing. And practically increasing the game six times in number of units, structures and so on, all new content, it is truly remarkable. I applaud their abilities for this and I do like the mod, but as for the people behind it I dislike, nearly hate (thought it is dull now), because I didnt forgot what they did to me.

But I must say it pleases me that there is someone who thinks the same as me of them :) But this is not a place to talk about this.

I wouldn't say it's all that different. Everything new they've added has been blatantly copied from something. If Mods could be considered copyright theft, many people would have a field day tearing apart Paradox.

The only good things they have accomplished (if any) is some technical stuff - the alternative protocol system, cover etc, etc. However for the most part, it's an overrated Mod run by bad, bad people.

Also, they stripped the ability to play Campaign out of their mod X3

Well, which mod doesnt have to take inspiration from others? :) In modern times it is really hard, if not impossible, to be really original. When I would take it on Shock Therapy, Wolfhound is based on RA2 Tank Destroyer, and Harrow on RA1 YaK :)

Yes, this is thing they accomplished, the addition of new systems, like the alternate protocol systems (because original didnt enable to code protocols for any new faction), cover, armour and so. But the people making it... no fuhrer comment.

They did? Oh... well, I hope in this we will have the upper hand :D

While true, I've never seen a Mod Team be so blatant about it. They even go as far as adding "X is taken from X", and the renders are very, very clearly modeled after (if not outright stolen) from the source material. On an added note, the Mod has too many Units. An odd complaint, but in a Mod where the faction calculus is as thin as tissue paper, well...

I would take *ANY* RA3 Mod over Paradox any day of the week. Like RA3 Retarded. Or RA3 Revised. Or even Shock Therapy X3

Yeah, thats correct, but this dont bothers me that much. Hehe, you are right thats odd, but I see your point. When there is so many units, it is nice that you have large option of units to use, but you will dont use them all. Like me, I would use 2 or 3 types of units in one attack group, 1 unit in other group etc. But not 9 in one group. It would more fit for other kind of game, not RTS as such. But again, this dont bothers me that much.

Oh, that sounds little offending :D Nah, I dont mean it like that :D

So far, Shock Therepy's probably the best Mod out there for RA3 right now (along with RA3 Revised and RA3 Retarded for laughs).

From a Meta standpoint again, I maintain the maximum amount of Factions you can ever hope to squeeze into an RTS is five (TBS and Tabletop Games can do slightly more, but your really limited by the Genre and your Game Mechanics). Paradox has EIGHT. There's bound to be massive overlap. Plus the plethora of units makes it a balancing nightmare - especially if we take into consideration anything after Release 1, it will quickly become a headache.

Oh, thanks :D Thought I think RA3 Revolution is also good one.

Yeah, I see it. They even scratched the Apocalypse Minimod, because they found out it was not balancing, one player can be damn right while other damn poor, so they returned for Release 1. And there they still continue in one issue which I really hate, is their "mind of size". Did you read carefully about Mammoth and Apocalypse? They are told to be as large as houses, yet their guns are of a normal heavy tank, that is lore, but model looks like it has more than 125mm, rather 203mm or even more. Thought now they resized it, but still it looks more like 155mm than 125mm.

I'm not big on Tank Specs, but apparently I think the Paradox team retconned that down to 125mm.

Especially since a 200mm odd cannon would look something like this -

Apocalypse always had 125mm, even originally by EA, but their model (EA's) looked exactly like having 200mm, and this caliber is used only by heavy mortars or as small guns on battleships :D So while I cant say its Paradox's fault, they didnt bothered to think about it much, and even they resized it, its simply too large than said 125mm. Especially if they gave the same, shortened gun to one of the smaller tanks as heroic upgrade (Anvil with one Apocalypse gun... weird). Sometimes they have really odd sense of thinking.

And yet the Anvil Upgrade looks more like a 125mm Gun, even if it does look weird X3

Exactly :) And I am sure when you will take Anvil and Apoc beside each other for comparison, Anvil's will be smaller :D Simply sometimes teir sense of size is really out. :P

Description

When the Allies needed a new vehicle to cope with the possibility of facing Soviet tanks, several countries opted in. In the end, the French Mirage Tank became the winner of the defense contract and went into mass production. The German candidate, the JgPzK 3 “Wolfhound”, the only other real competitor, was only declined because the sneaky Mirage was deemed ‘more survivable’.

Germany still had quite a few test vehicles left, and redeployed them near the Switzerland border. Several field modifications, as well as new ammunition types made the Wolfhound (sometimes referred to as “Jagdwolf”) a powerful adversary during training missions.

When the Soviets invaded Germany, the divisions in the south where forced to redeploy in Switzerland, hoping to stop the Russians from reaching Geneva. Here, the Wolfhound became a lethal opponent. The L52 10,5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone made short work of any Soviet armor in the narrow mountain passes. Normally, the Wolfhound can only turn its massive cannon a few degrees in either direction without turning the hull. In the open, this can cause problems. But when your enemy can only come from one side, that didn’t matter. The high velocity anti-tank shells could even penetrate several Hammer tanks in one short, before the carbon-tungsten slug came to a halt. Only Apocalypse tanks seem to be able to withstand these shells.

If needed, the Wolfhound can deploy into a bunker-like state, which unlocks the superstructure containing the cannon, allowing it to turn more (still not 360 degrees), and bolstering its defence.

Wolfhounds and their divisions have some of the highest kill-death ratio’s while defending against the Soviets. It was only regrettable that the Soviets managed to sneak passed these tank killers and take Geneva regardless. Allied High Command did airlift the remaining Wolfhounds out of Switzerland for active redeployment, though it isn’t decided if they should enter mass production.
