What began as a minor financial problem in the year of 2008, spiraled into a massive downturn of war and death. In 2015 the USA signs the AGA bill (American Goods Act) making it illeagal to ship jobs overseas to countries like China, Japan, Taiwan, and India. This act however poses a direct threat to the Chinese economy. The chinese government would not tolerate this act of war on the chinese economy and declares war a few months later. By 2016, the entire world is at war.

For all those who might be interested, I thought I'd let everyone know about some of the plans we have for the Russian faction, I've mainly been doing Audio work but also since I joined the Team I've been helping with planning and revamping the unit rosters and such, Recentley I had focused on Russia, which has since been revamped into the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) which is similar to the concept of the CEC, Only it is a real, existing Geopolitical organization between most of the former Soviet Union states. This was done both for a story addition, and to add some new units and variety to the original Russian Plan. For example, there will be a signifigant Ukrainian military influence in the Russian faction.

Please be warned that this is not a final list, we have been focusing entirley on the CEC At the moment, But for when it's done, we will have a very good idea where we want to go with the CIS.

While the CIS Represents about a dozen countries, the only Military hardware and material depicted is of Russian, or Ukranian Origin, unlike the CEC, The CIS is not a single state. so for example there will be a much more noticable difference between some of the Uniform variations.

for the Uniform STYLES themselves, we are going for a look similar to this, the only difference is different camoflauge schemes and BDUs, a more modern helmet, and the lack of retarded looking goggles (I know these are Naval troops, this is irrelevant, they seemed to be the best display of modern Russian body armor)

With a helmet similar to this, only a matching Camo cover, and possibly variants without the cover, modern goggles too

The Uniforms will be in the following patterns

Russian 3-color Flora pattern

Ukrainian 3-Color Pattern
*Note, Many pictures on google depict this uniform as being brown, there are variations but the Limeish Green is the correct Army variant, I personally own one of these uniforms so I know the difference*

As for equipment, I wont give an entire list, but I'll mention the major players that have been tossed around in the discussion.

- Main Service rifle is the AK-74M, With the Bullpup VEPR as a secondary rifle, advanced weapons like the AN-94 may also make an appearance for some soldiers
- Utilizes both Light and General Purpose MGs, Such as RPK, and PK-Pecheneg
- Favors light and carbine rifles such as the AKS-74U and AS-VAL over conventional SMGs.
- Uses a variety of AT Weapons, the portable RPG-7V2, The Heavy RPG-29 "Vampire" and the Massive AT-13 to Combat the heaviest Armor
- Well Known Russian Sniper rifles such as the SVD

As for Vehicles, special attention has been put into giving Russia a variety of vehicles rivaling the CEC's vast armory.
- Heavy Tanks such as the T-90, T-84 Oplot and T-80
- Medium Tanks including the T-72 ,T-64 and the T-55
- Light Tanks like the BMD-4 and SD-Sprut Tank Destroyer
- Tracked IFVs - Like the BMP-2 and BMP-3
- A large variety of Russian and Ukranian Wheeled IFVs, Like the BTR-90, BTR-94, BTR-4 and BTR-80
- Mobile Artillery such as the Versitile 2S1 Gvozdika, and the Monstrous 2S7 Pion
- And Lastly, Logistic and Troop vehicles familiar to many, the URAL and Kamaz trucks, and the Tigr, Vodnik and UAZ.

I'd also like to mention that with the factions using a large number of Modern tanks, Namley CIS and CEC, We've "categorized" vehicles, into tiers, normally no more than 3 at Max 4 per weight category, for example

The Russian heavy tanks, the T-90 would be the highest tier heavy, while the T-80 would be the lower, with the 84-Oplot in between. the same is being applied to the CEC's motor pool due to the large variety of largley equal equipment.

Lastly, I want to mention that this is just a pre-preview, we dont have any renders available yet, as the plan is to finish what we are working on with the CEC Infantry, and put it in a releaseable state for the first beta alongside the Russian infantry

This is not a place to beg for certain guns or vehicles to be added, odds are most of the things people ask for might be planned anyway. Although if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.

I just thought I'd throw this up since Solistx and I have pretty much picked most of the stuff already for Russia, and it might be nice for other people to see What we're planning for a different faction than the CEC,

Finaly someones bring in modern russian army. You should use the latest T90M, it's a upgraded and much better tank compared to the older t90 variants.

Aswell as Btr80a, Btr90. Nice to see the Sprut aswell.
Bmp2m would be a nice addition and change from the old bmp2's aswell.

Gonna use the Bmp3m or the old one?

We havent bothered going into huge detail as to which T90 or which T72 etc model will be used, for the most part most of them will be using the most "familiar" looks, but there will be effort into distinguishing them apart, for example the T-80 Model will look much more sophisticated than the T-72, As it should be.

as for the 90, It will probably be a T-90U, While im not a fan of the game, the Bad company 2 T90 Comes to mind when I picture what we're going for. regardless of what model it is, it will still be formidable in game, it will be able to hold it's own against the other top of the line vehicles. think of these tanks as being comparable to King tiger while things like the T-84 Oplot and T-80 Comparaable to a Tiger

we did consider putting a fictional vehicle in, like the T-100 Ogre From the Endwar game, which was best described as a T-90 On ten kinds of steroids. But I think we'll be keeping the current plan, I really dont know, personally I think throwing something like that in is extremley overpowered. Endwar was a shitty game as far as how it worked, but those things were scary powerful. they called them the tigers of WW3

and the BMPs, the BMP2 Will also have its normal familiar look, as it is only the mid-tier Tracked IFV, We're looking at a MT-LB To be the low tier, and a BMP-3 For the high tier.

A few vehicles like the BMD-4 Which are actually IFVs were made into Light tanks, for balancing, but in the modern age light tank variety will be a rarity.

Lastly All of the BTRs but one I mentioned have virtually the same physical body, but we will give some of them better armor, and they all have distinct armament differences, the BTR-94 For example has 2 antiaircraft style machineguns while the BTR-4 Has a Heavy autocannon, that we will probably tune to be a tank killer

There's no such thing as T90U, the one in Bc2 is most likely T90S or T90A. There's a T80U though. Too bad that you're not using the M, guess it would be like the super tanks, like a centurion then, but I understand whre you coming from.

doesnt matter, it's all just technical readouts which are irrelevant

I dont even remeber where I got that information, probably confusing my real factual research with playing stupid games.

T-90A Then, again, doesnt matter

Must be mixing up with T80U and it does matter as they differ the T90A is the one that Rus army use and T90S is the export version to wich the T90A is superior in most ways.
