A mod for Hexen 2 that adds weapon altfires, stat upgrades, and various balance tweaks, effects, bugfixes, & new features for mappers. This fork is based on the Shadows Of Chaos mod/mapset by Bloodshot, which is in turn based on the Game Of Tomes mod. Detailed description, credits, & instructions included in readme file.
Unzip the contents into your Hexen 2 directory so that there is a folder sibling to the data1 folder. To play, use the included .bat file or otherwise launch the game with the "-game [folder name]" command. You can replay the vanilla game and user maps with the mod, or create new maps using the mod's various features. There are also a few releases that require the mod and use its' features. Install them into the mod's folder, without allowing any overwriting. The only conflict is that they include different Strings.txt, which you'll need to manage. If you don't plan on reading or modifying the mod's code, delete the "src" source code folder.

Mapping features: misc_model is non-solid by default; Scaling type spawnflags for misc_model; trigger_push can add to the player's velocity rather than replace; Spike shooter can shoot polymorph spell; Crusher .wait field works; Silent soundtype for crusher; Silent spawnflag for waterfall (no ambient or on/off sounds); func_shadow and func_newplat automatically create switchable shadow if they have switchshadstyle
Fixes: All sounds changed to lowercase for Linux users; Stats menu appears the same size regardless of FOV; Reivers can pathfind better; Fallen Angel improvements synced to Portals version; Trigger spawned Bishops spawn in air properly; Legionnaire doesn't slide in walk animation; Waterfall makes ambient sound; Chandelier animates; trigger_random with count 0 works properly; Entities with switchable shadows use switchshadspeed properly
Hey! I have not been able to run this addon. Tried it on different ports and nothing worked. The add-on does not even see the "SQLauncher2" program in the menu, although other add-ons are all visible. The demo version works fine, but the full version doesn't want to run.

Is SQLauncher2 Simple Quake Launcher? Ive never used that program. Just make sure you unzipped the files correctly so theres a subfolder in the Hexen 2 directory with the progs.dat file.
Also, this version does not come with any maps, but the SOC demo and other maps are linked in the description.
Hey! Do you have a working build of the game? If there is, then you can send me an email in the archive. I just can't start the game. Throws an error while loading or loading the first level of a regular game. Have you tried to run this mod on the jsHexen II v.1.21 engine by jeank?

I havent personally tried using it, but recent dev builds support Jeank's texture pack.
