I like the fact that this mod was built upon the Elite Force mod which made me want to play again, but with this mod, it fixed certain shortcomings the author of the EF hasn't been able to address yet. It certainly made playing the game more challenging but to balance it, the gameplay feels more flexible.
I want to say though, please do not totally remove or replace the optiwand (saw your comment on reddit), it might be not realistic but it's equivalent to having a snake camera which for certain is real. The author can add mirrors as subsitute but the optiwand still has place in the game.
SWAT 4 is spiritually succeeded by Ready Or Not. As someone who has played that game for hundreds of hours, I've came to the conclusion that I want to see what it is like to play what the game was really based off of, and after some time playing SWAT 4, I felt quite happy. But hearing about SEF in the first place, then First Responders, made me very intrigued, especially with SEF-FR's similarity to Ready Or Not. Because of this, what I can say is: The videos were right. SEF and SEF-FR are the best mods that could be made, not only bringing a plethora of improvements, but also so much more depth.
This mod just keeps getting better and better.

The developer has managed to implement some mold-breaking features into this mod, adding new layers and possibilities to the gameplay.

this mod brings alot of fresh air into a old title, some things that wernt thought to be possible at one point in time, thats a good thing! but why the low rating?
the developer has taken some of the core gameplay features away like the Optiwand being able to peek doors and allowing suspects to remove wedges (which wouldnt be bad if it wasnt a 50% chance)and the icing on the cake for me to give this a 3 insted of a 5 or a 6, the audio design is horrific, these are literally hollywoodesque laughable audio designs that are arguably worse than the default game.
honestly, fixing the optiwand and adding in better audio would knock it up to a 6 or 7 easily.
This is fantastic, its the only reason swat 4 stills alive.
I just think you should add more suppressed guns like the suppressed glock 17 and other guns.
