Thanks malorie for the solution! It was fun playing this mod :)

To sum up what worked for me:
1. install Half-Life 2: Episode One
2. install Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer (Library --> Tools)
3. right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, in Properties go to the "Betas" tab and change "Select the beta you would opt into" option to "incoming" (Steam then downloads aditional files)
4. put the "sebastian" folder in Steam\steamapps\common\Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer
5. apply this fix (Sebastian Patch - Source SDK 2013) to mod folder
6. go to Steam, right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, in Properties go to "General" tab, click on "Set launch options..." and enter the following: -game "sebastian"
7. restart Steam
8. launch Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer, the game should be running now!

If there is any error, verify the Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer cache in Properties, "Local files" tab.

Hopefully this resolves problems for everybody else, too ;)

Do I need to have Ep1 installed?

@OurBenefactors

Yes.

Half-Life 2: Episode One is required since this mod utilizes content
such as models/materials/textures, etc...

Make sure to have launch Half-Life 2: Episode One at least once
and restart Steam.

Thank you for your interest.

@RosobergTV

I reinstalled the mod, as well as the patch for Source SDK 2013.
It works.

Make sure that you are enrolled in the beta of Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.

You should also verify the integrity of your game's files. This might be the cause of your crashes, as you have invalid/corrupt game files.

You can perform this check by doing the following:

- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Local Files" tab.
- Click "Verify Integrity of Tool cache..."
- Wait until game cache inspection is completed.

If you have other questions, please let me know.

@RosobergTV

If this method does not work, I recommend you try the following:

- Right-click on Half-Life 2: Episode One.
- Click on Properties and go to the 'betas' tab.
- In the list of betas to opt into, select 'beta - Beta updates'.
- Wait until Steam has finished downloading additional files.
- Restart Steam and launch Half-Life 2: Episode One.
- Try launching 'Sebastian'.

I Hope this will help you. If not, please let me know.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi! I'm having trouble with my Source SDK 2013. When I try to go to " Betas " it only shows "Upcoming", not " Incoming". do you know what the problem may be?

This is a mistake of mine. I meant to write 'upcoming'.
I updated the Readme_fix.txt.

A few days ago, I installed the mod and applied the Source SDK 2013 patch.

It works.

Have you checked the integrity of your game files?

- Right-click on Source SDK Base 2013 Singleplayer.
- Go to the "Local Files" tab.
- Click "Verify Integrity of Tool cache..."
- Wait until game cache inspection is completed.
- Repeat the same process for Half-Life 2 & Half-Life 2: Episode One.

If you did follow every step in the readme, and assuming that you are up to date with the latest version of HL2 games, I am afraid I do not see other possibility.

Could you please post the content of the file GameInfo.txt located in the root folder? In addition, a screen capture of only the mod's folder would provide extra help.

In the new image you posted (the one with your sourcemods folder), I notice another folder named 'sebastian'. This is the cause of the issue. For clarity, let's call the first folder 'sebastian' and the second folder 'sebastian X'. The folder 'sebastian X' contains the actual content of the Source SDK 2013 patch. You need to copy every file from the 'sebastian X' folder to the 'sebastian' folder.

its because the mod is lacking a newgamedialog.res or the steampipe broked again but i think is the lack of a newgamedialog file on resource folder:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1N_doZFE69RujeBoEf5uiDyZ9WVuMP153/view?usp=sharing

By the time you've messed about with all that, you've gone off playing it...for god's sake, just fix it and reload the updated version that DOES work, patch included...surely ? We don't all know how to do these things anyway...most of that is way over my head at least...
