Czas magiii elfów i demonów i kultu węża przeminoł, teraz nastał czas czarnego prochu w siłach armi Sarleonu. Jeszcze tylko król każe stworzyc pierwsze działa i cały Pendor będzie jego.

Translation

The time of the magic of the elves and demons and the worship of the serpent passed away, now the time of black powder in the forces of Sarleon's army has come. Only the king will make the first works and all Pendor will be his.

I think you should keep the name and leave these units as "sappers".

Firearms?! You should've worked on "magically accelerated" projectile weapons (crossbows for eg...) or maybe mages, tossing fireballs or lightning bolts 'n stuff ... Would've fit better in the whole story :/

According to the lore all magic gone from the world of Pendor. Only some enhancements left.

That is a bit controversial, with demons, witches, zombies, dragon tears, elves, gods and their gift (ullrvetr's bow), but okay, I'll wait and see. I just hope it won't ruin the balance - I mean, those guns will take a lot of time to reload and stuff...

This seems really out of place to me. Adding firearms seems like a stupid idea. Technologically superior or not, this doesn't fit the game at all. At least it's easy to remove them with morgh's mods tools.

As one of the devs, please do not tell us what does and doesn't fit the game at all. Thanks.

The words I used there were a bit harsh, So I should apologize for that, I'd re-word it if I could. But as one of my favorite mods, and certainly something I consider to be better than the base game, you could say a rather unusual/unexpected introduction inspired a bit a of passion in me out of concern of changing that feel of what I liked so much about pendor.

dude flintlock weapons have been in fantasy for generations now. how dose it not fit the setting? you know you could easily make a pipe shotgun with a pipe, rope, alcohol, nails, gunpowder, and a heavy metal cap right? it's really not that hard. all you would have to think about is gunpowder, and in a MAGICAL setting is it really so difficult to imagine they would figure it out? totally fits imo, now if they rolled up wielding ak47's i might have said it dose not fit my taste. either way i wouldn't insult the creator by saying it's a "Stupid idea" kinda a ******, arrogant thing to say ain't it?

I understand what you're saying, and I was exaggerating a bit, and would choose different words looking back. Arrogance still isn't the right word for that though.

I've always loved when fantasy starts to progress in their tech as an interesting variable what would happen if there were shields made of an special metal that can protect from bullets

Description

The Dukes of Barclay have sent expeditionary forces to Pendor. The Barclay Janissaries are equipped with advanced mechanical equipment that their country has now begun mass producing for warfare. While more mounted and elegant designs are seen in core regiments in Barclay, these formidable weapons have the punch of a crossbow, the ammunition of a quiver and the flare to brandish.

The Mettenheimers forced the industrial might of Barclay to create efficient ways to fight their volcanic-smithed steel plated armored infantry. While the production of such weaponry is hidden under lock and key to only few, the designs are said to have made their way to Pendor, but alas, that is only rumors...
