This Campaign is the culmination of past attempts to finish Residual Decay and the shelved project Battle for Na Pali. It is a merging of levels and concepts, with a new protagonist and story set in a classic Unreal adventure. The tone of Savage Land aims to bring an experience closer to the feel of the original game.
Savage Land will be playable on Unreal or Unreal Gold using the current 227 patch. It will also work on Unreal Tournament with the official 436 patch and the Oldskool Single Player mutator. Our hope is to eventually have a finished campaign that will also support older Unreal patches pre-227. It should be stated that it is not advised to try the demo on UT with the 451 patch, since this has historically clashed with SP gaming. As of 2022 we will hope to have the campaign working on 469 in its finished state when the time comes.
COOP play will be encouraged in the demo. Please let us know how it plays with your friends so we may improve the online experience.
A demo was released in February 2021. The demo is the first two maps from the eventual campaign. Two new weapons are featured to the loadout (the Bio Rifle and Minigun slots have been replaced) and there are some adjustments to some existing weapons and enemies. These new additions to the arsenal are currently experimental, so feedback would be appreciated. We also encourage other Unreal SP developers still in the game to benefit and use our code package once the demo has been released.

Appreciate the vote of confidence! Probably not much to say this month due to the holidays, but I'm aiming to have a larger Demo out next year (possibly more like an Episodic set of levels).

Demo is playable, just fixing up some finer details. Trying to fix some COOP issues as well. I will post news some time this month.
