Sand of Siberia is a mod for Original War game. Generally, mod is composed of three campaigns* and a few skirmish maps.

- American campaign:
Based on original campaign with many changes and new features.


- Arabian campaign [not published yet]:
This campaign's purpose is to present my vision of Arabians as a nation in
OW. It's a difficult nation to play with, because mercenaries'
structures are not so tightly connected like in other factions.
Therefore the player will witness rivalry between different commanders
as well as mercenary soldiers' growing resentment towards the sheikhs.

As for the missions, well, I won't lie, they will not be easy. I put a lot of emphasis on diversifying difficulty levels, which means that an easy level should be easy and enjoyable for casual player, on the other
hand, difficult one should be really hard to beat even for an experienced players.

I try to make every mission unique. One time, for example, you have to transport 1200 crates to a warehouse on the other side of the map, some other time to use hovercrafts to cross
the river and surprise the enemy by attacking him from behind.

Missions are connected with the original plot, therefore you will see some places already known, like Bases at the Muddy River or New Samarkand. There will also be missions not present in the original campaign which I personally missed, like the attack on the Lenin base.

Every mission has its own loading screen with location in which the mission
takes place marked on it. Furthermore, once in a while there will be
short intro clips.

- Alliance campaign [not published yet]:
This campaign is based on an alternative scenario. Game begins after
American victory at the battle for the Motherlode, when John Macmillan
went with his expedition to Alaska.

The player will take a role
of a fictional Russian soldier who, together with prof. Gossudarov and a
handful of Alliance soldiers, is trying to get Peter Roth and others
out from captivity and to stop Americans to be able to continue research
on the artifacts.

Because the action takes place after capturing
the Motherlode, there could not be no further technology advancement,
so new units have been added like the HACK vehicle and the Heavy Artillery.

- Skirmish:
It will be a collection of mission-maps not connected in any way with any of
campaigns. Those will be simply single missions from FWB and some new ones like e.g.: defense of the Omicron base.

Game mechanics were heavily changed. A lot of units have been rebalanced to be used more
often by the player, e.g. flamethrower, double laser. A few new units and buildings were added, like the Russian Radar and Drone.

Research system was also changed.

Concerning maps, every one has textures and environmental effects, and I also
include animations where possible, like the flowing river effect.

Nonetheless, I hope that when I'll release it, it will fulfil at least partially your expectations and you will enjoy it. My target is refresh this old game and give players more fun from play in Original War :)

An incredible mod for incredible game. A true "new wave" for good-classic gameplay. Thank You very much for this mod. Original War now plays different and feels like sometheing good became even better. Thank You for such work.

Odnalazłem hasło do mojego konta i mogę wreszcie ocenić Twojego moda, Serpent xD
SoS to najwspanialsza rzecz jaka mogła powstać do Original War. Odwaliłeś kawał dobrej roboty i jeśli nadal rozwijasz tego moda to nie mogę się doczekać nowych map do potyczek.
Mam tylko pytanie: czy planujesz zrobić w potyczkach Przymierze oraz Legion jako oddzielne fakcje (Legion oczywiście z trochę inną bronią), czy zostaniesz tylko przy 3 głównych?
