Roses of Shaerrawedd is a story adventure mod for The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, developed by the official mod tool, which was already in development for the past year. The main storyline has several hours of non-linear gameplay and multiple ending variations depending on your choices. Shaerrawedd - a recreated location from the original books is a ruined elven palace which lies in the forests of Kaedwen. The elves themselves destroyed it after their second clash with humans to prevent them from building a city on the foundations as they had with so many other cities. Story is set before the books and Geralt is taking part in an excavation of the palace. Geralt, as a hired protector of the group, will often clash with monsters and on high difficulties the game will be a true challenge. Game design is similar to the one in The Witcher 2 and apart from the main story line there are secrets to find and sidequests to do which almost always offer a choice to the player.

The mod looks interesting. I am also interested in trying it. Regarding Kyle07's comment, I searched online, but I could not find a download location. Maybe "released" means the date the mod was added to MOD DB.
