3153 KRE (Kromnetic Revolution Era)

The Kromnetic Revolution brought many major changes to the Universe; the first being the extermination of the human race. Kromnetic research had brought new life into the rapidly degrading robotics programs on Old Earth. Kromnetics proved to be the robotic equivalent to the human nervous, circulatory, and respiratory systems while enabling the creation of Kromnetically altered metal alloys which never wore down. With this exciting new technology, mankind could create the impossible: the perpetual-motion machine. Though these experiments began as tiny projects, they quickly began testing on existing robotic prototypes with amazing results. Within two years, Kromnix Incorporated developed the first pure Kromnetic robots and began mass production immediately.

It was soon discovered, however, that these perfect machines held no regard for their imperfect masters. No one knows when the struggle for human survival began, but some time during the 2310's, the robots revolted and mankind began disassembling the robots as quickly as possible. However, the magic of mass production assembly lines fueled by human greed proved to be the fall of mankind. There were simply too many of them to handle.

Kromnix Incorporated survived the destruction of man and soon became the embodiment of power and greed at Universal proportions. The Kromnix Armada was soon built and their iron grip was felt throughout the far reaches of space...

----

You've been scrapped and left for virtual-dead. Too bad they forgot about the energy pack on your arm. After three years of service in the Kromnix Armada and you're tossed out like a bag of moldy tangerines. They just weren't happy with 93% accuracy, especially when the other 7% happened to be other Armada 'bots. You'll just have to show them how quickly 7% can become 100%.

You stand among your supposed death bed of mechanical junk and look around. Ah, a damaged Pheslar gun. Within minutes, it's working again and you start for the door to claim your robotic justice.

Still in the works...

News

This mod is still in the works and might start up sooner than you and I think. I believe this mod is going to be more fun to make because the engine is based on the Orb of Dilaaria engine and is therefore almost finished. Plus a lot of the graphics are already made, so it's just down to finishing the graphics, finding sounds and music, and then getting it mapped. I don't plan on it having any more than 10-15 maps, but I want them to be pretty action-packed as far as a Wolf3D TC is concerned.

It's still very much on a back burner, sadly. I do still hope to work on this, though it might become its own engine instead of being based on the Wolf3D code.

One reason this is taking so long is because I'm converting the Wolf3D code to VC++ and DirectX. So I'm learning that in the process. But the good news is that Robotic Justice will run natively in the Windows environment. First, though, I need to get the original code converted. This isn't going to be a WinWolf3D project, at least not the WinWolf3D that exists right now...

For those that are wondering, this mod is still planned. It has NOT died.

Its kindof funny, tt does seem like the Matrix and T2 combined...
But just like everymod... you're just going to run around shooting things. So i suggest that the first level have a "stealth" feal to it so you can get some armor and good firepower. Then you can kick...

The mod seems pretty cool... Just let me know if you'll some kind of help in the near future...

Hmmm, you know, when I went to write that first post, I first thought it was like T2 or something, but then thought that it was closer to something like matrix.

Once again, I offer to make maps.

Heh, now that I re-read it a couple of times, yeah, I can see a bit of Matrix in there, too. Unintended. The whole "human struggle" part isn't a key element to the main story, I just needed some way of introducing the robot and the armada it will go against. Humans are toast. :devious: :D

Not really... at least I didn't sit down and shape it to be like the Matrix, but since I've seen the movies, it's always possible that some elements of them will creep in without me recognizing them. There is no Neo-esque character. You're not in it to save the Universe or anything, just claim the justice that you, as a robot, feel you deserve for being dumped in the garbage as junk because your shooting accuracy had diminished.

I thought it reminded me of Terminator (the whole "rise of the machines" bit) when I typed it into the computer, but it's been so long since I've seen that movie, I don't know.

Hey! A new mod's joined the ranks! The story kindof of reminds me of the Matrix. Am I right?
