Full release of Roar of Conquest: Late Middle Ages V, Stand-Alone Installation.
Here is the Late Middle Ages V release for Roar of Conquest! For those of you who would like to know the changes made in this most recent version, refer to the article here: ROC: LMA V Changelog To give credit where it is due, and most certainty deserved, my mod incorporates the following mods:
- Stainless Steel 6.4
- Meloo Fix 1.27
- Regional Knight Orders For All
This mod is a Stand-Alone Release, which means that you do not need to have Stainless Steel 6.4 installed in order for this mod to work.
Installation Guide
1) After downloading Roar of Conquest, unzip the folder.
2) When you have unzipped the folder, find the location of your mod folder in Medieval II Total War on your computer. It should look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods
3) Drag the Roar of Conquest folder into the mod location in Medieval II. Once you're done, the file location should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\ROC LMA V
4) When you open ROC LMA V in it's location, you can create a shortcut by right-clicking on the file 'ROC LMA V' application, and then selecting the option 'create shortcut', provided you have done the following:
- Go into you Medieval II folder, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War, and scroll down until you find a file marked medieval2 and listed as the file type application.
- Right click on it and select the option "create copy", then paste the copy in the same location.
- Right click on the copy to rename it, and type in the new name kingdoms.
- Viola, the mod will now work! For a more visual presentation on how to do this, watch this video here starting at the 6:00 minute mark: Youtube.com. While this video is talking about a different mod, his guide for making it work applies to all mods for Medieval II Kingdoms, not just the one he refers to in the video.
Included in this upload is the map reset batch file that was previously it's own download, so you will not have to do separate downloads. If your campaign does not seem to be loading properly, try running this batch file first and see if it fixes the problem.
I have also included a Large Address Aware app in this download, along with a text file, title 'LAA', instructing you how to use it. Basically, the file allows your game to use more memory than the original Medieval II engine allowed, which prevents your game from crashing because your campaign or battle exceeds the hardcoded memory limitations of the original game.
Also included with this release is two submods, which you can find in the folder 'submods' at 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\ROC LMA V'. Installation instructions and a brief description of the submods are included in the folder.
And now you are done! I hope you enjoy the game; now, go forth and conquer!
If you are experiencing any crashes or problems in your mod, please locate the 'system.log' file located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\ROC LMA IV. Open the file using Notepad, and then copy whatever text is on the log. Please paste the log report at this Discord link: ROC Discord under the text channel roc_bug_reports
es compatible con partidas guardadas
No, I'm afraid this update is not save-game compatible.
ok, termino la campaƱa con bulgaria y despues instalo la actualizacion
is this mod only for steam users of kingdoms?
and if i chane timescale from 1.00 to 0.50 did it crash game or how it will affect to game, scripts?
The mod works just as well for non-steam users. Changing the time scale should not cause any issues, as long as you change all the necessary files.
i thought i'd have a go with the submod, i followed the instructions/started the game up, it crashes on the blip of the ROC screen
without the submod the game is working,im not sure the problem is.
Did the 'system.log' show anything when the game crashed?
Every time your mod keeps getting better and better, congratulations for the wonderful work
Hi I have a serious issue with RoQ for SS6.4 (2020) Late Middle Ages.
When playing as Poland there are many Hungarian General's which crash the game when they die. Starter generals, new generals, family members, it's random it seems.. Crash log says random error. Lot's of help.. I think it's to do with the video files.
Either natural causes, assassination, or in battle.. This is unplayable and it's putting me off the mod. Even early game, mid game, late game.
I even went as far as using auto win to destroy hungary but even the now rebel hungarian generals crash the game..Very Angry. I just want to play Poland.
Can I play Poland successfuly with this Mod ?
Btw great mod for any other faction. 1500 hours in no big problems for England, France,HRE, Literally everyone else besided Poland. The odd Crash to desktop cause of old game engine crashing the game on massive battles.
Try installing LAA for the mod if you haven't already, and use the 'reset_map_and_sound' batch file before trying to run a Poland campaign. If the error persists, which it might based off of what you are telling me, let me know. This is the first time I've heard of Poland causing problems, but I'm glad you told me! If the LAA and reset don't work, my partner and I will work towards a solution if we can figure out what the problem is.
Thank's will do.
So far so good, all's well on your latest RoQ mod you and the team released this year.
I'm loving how crisp the units look and the emergent factions are pretty cool. Feels like a whole new experience.
i give a try :)
i work and is cool mod only problem my opinion is to when you wait the turn end i take seconds no more second but is kinda bored
Hello, great progress on the mod so far. However, there are few things that can use extra work. For ex. the Bulgarian flag for on the campaign map and the UI are
different and both inaccurate. Even if ther Campaign map flag is ''passable'' the
UI one is from Novgorod... Could that be fixed, please? Also, 1/3 if not more of the Bulgarian roster consist of Russian troops, and even though that is somewhat true for the period, it feels weird that you can just recruit so many Eastern troops. And thirdly the 90% of Russian names that are generated for Bulgarian, generals, princesses, spies, bishop etc...
Please do let me know if you could help out, I do have have some files and proper flags for the time, however I am missing the full knowledge with the sd. conventer tool to make it work. Additionally, I have plenty of Bulgarian names that can be rng generated.
Hopefully you decide to contact me on discord: Brank#3890
