GLA will not be available until 2.2.
The North Korea brought back the ICBM / Scud Launcher.
Anyways, I already got the countries representing for each GLA sub faction:
Scarab Cell - Syria
Scorpion Cell (Not a Mental Omega sub faction) - Afghanistan
The GLA getting into the fight would be epic!
I know, but it's not gonna be available until version 2.2 since they still working on the roster.
The Empire of the Rising Sun, consisting of Japan and Tailanad, is still missing :)
Or maybe Japan and South Korea since the East Asian faction has North Korea.
And then the American Union of Generals will be made where the United States and Canada will be. And the allies have France and Germany :)

I'd suggest 4 subfactions / faction in the final version. New ones would be:
ASIAN: Japan, South Korea
GLA: Iran, Libya
ALLIED: UK, France
USSR: Yugoslavia, Cuba
YURI: India(or Nepal), Peru or Mexico (ancient civilizations ancient Hindus or Buddhists and Incas or Aztecs)
However, the Asian faction of this mod is based on an Eastern Communist Countries like China and North Korea but idk.
XxpeddyxX said some of the units in the East Asian factions were intended for Japan but that he found difficult to diversify 3 factions at the start. Tbh the only think that makes East Asians seem communist is that Red Guard unit but then again, the Minigunner(now North Korea) can become standard East Asian infantry the Red Guard can become the Chinese-specific infantry. Other units seem pretty neutral to me. Imagine DPRK has even a M270 MLRS.
That's what I heard. And also North Korea has a KAI T-50 Golden Eagle which is originated from South Korea but it doesn't matter since it's just a game mod and it's does not applies to a real life warfare.
And that M270 MLRS has been replaced by a TOS-1 MLRS and it's moved to Russia in order to restore the ICBM Launcher (the one that appears in the North Korea loading screen) which is a previous DPRK unit in the older versions.

American Pact (from Generals) - USA, Canada and Australia
Soviet pact - USSR, Cuba and Iraq
Allies - Britain, France and Germany
Empire of the Rising Sun (from 3 parts) - Japan, South Korea and Thailand
Maoists - PRC, DPRK and Kampuchea
GLA - Iran, Afghanistan and Syria.
Yuri - Specter, PsiCorps and Lunar Garrison.
Total: 7 factions, though these are just my dreams ...

Vietnam should not be added to the Chinese alliance because socialist Vietnam and socialist China are enemies ... And Red Alert 2 is still a "mirror" of the history of the 20th century.
