Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Introduced in 2010, the AH-1Z Viper is a heavily modernised version of the Cobra attack helicopter, armed with a 20mm gatling cannon, Sidewinder air-to-air missiles and upgradeable Hydra rocket pods.

This is going to replace the Cobra and the Cobra replaced the Little Bird for Airforce General. Everyone else gets Little Birds.

I know that General Bradley and Wolfgang will get Air-transport that is able to carry vehicles, But i am not sure about Griffon getting one since he isn't really focused on Ground vehicles, but i might be wrong!

It probably gonna be effective against air targets too, in certain numbers.
Well from the start it will only be effective against light armored vehicles, But once you upgraded the missile pods it will be able to take down some heavier armored vehicles. And yes it can shot down air-crafts from the start but i do not remember if the missile pods works against them!
Would there be any upgrades for the airforce general´s aircrafts too (i.e. the raptor)?
Of course he will get some exclusive upgrades for his raptors else there wouldn't be any difference between Thorn, Bradley and Griffon's Raptors!

If you mean the unit then no since the Viper is the Cobra, But if you mean the Cobra model/skin then yes i think it's been scraped, it wasn't that good looking from the start anyway!

dont tell me u just reskinned and renamed it....how about apache gunship ?!
Not only that; it's an entirely different model. We added this because the old Cobra was seriously lacking visually. Plus, it was actually based off a severely outdated RL variant that made it look even worse.
Apaches will never be added because they're the single most generic mod addition besides the Abrams tank.

yeah ...if i m not mistaken you guys dont really cared about details and stuff if i really recall back i ve ask about reskin the grumble to s-500 then one of ur mod member says ...this is silly and said that they should really focus on developing the ECA fraction rather than stupid skin ... seriously try focus on bigger stuff amaze us with ur mod talents ..
The ECA is proof that they do care about details. The Cobra got a remake because the team thought it needed one, the grumble didn't because the team thought it didn't need one. It's as simple as that.
There is a very noticeable difference between the Viper and the old (Super)Cobra which you can clearly represent within the graphical style of the game. By comparison, there isn't that much of an interesting visual difference between the S-300 and the S-500. In fact, we find that the older S-300 looks way more unique whereas the other one is basically just a giant generic truck with big missiles. We do pay attention to details as long as they aren't completely trivial as far as the game's concerned. Plus, the old Cobra model wasn't exactly amazing to begin with.

1. The grumble looks fine as it is. If anythings needs a redo, then its the Russian War Factory (imo)
2. If they didn't amaze you with the ECA, then you're expecting some COH2 type graphics.
3. I like the new model. Its more detailed, and looks more menacing. The Cobra, I will still miss though ;(

can something be done about the S-300 targeting ability? i understand that the russian Air Raid helps to target air units, but when a group of 8 choppers attack your base, a well spaced out group of 5 S-300 seem to attack the lead chopper and not the others, resulting in EXTREME over kill for 1 choper and leaving the others to take out a building? In reality the S-300 can engage 10 targets simultaneously. at least make the S-300 able to do this when the Air Raid module is present.
u need to spaceout these heavy anti air units... dont leave them in a group they might aswell shoot the same targets ...
