Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Battlemaster may be old but it’s likely the most modified tank ever. With this new generation of nuclear powered upgrades, the tank changed drastically. It has gained much speed from previous incarnations and now manages to hold its ground against more modern tanks. This old but proud tank is a piece of history, being the oldest tank in service by a superpower and because it is the most manufactured tank in the world with an unimaginable number in service and in reserve.
reactor on back looks really cool good job guys
AWESOME!! i guessing there will be a big explosion after it is destroyed
Oh yea, you will.
Cool!
this looks....PIMPED OUT.
I see nuke sign and reactor on the back, is it that you called the upgrade effects?
Yep. :) The extrusion on the turret with the nuke sign is from the nuke shells upgrade, and the big glowing thing on the back is the fusion reactor.
Like many other things in our game, we try to have some nice visual cues and eye candy for upgrades.
wow, very nice :)
thats amazing!
w00t!!
FUSION reactor on battlemaster!
Awesome, I know it may not have any role on the tank's stats. But dont you guys think this reactor is a bit too expose to enemy fire? making it more vulnerable or something?
hah, a fusion powered vehicle... i like that...
So what does the upgrade do?
nvm lolz nice skin though
I like these new models! So if Chinese tanks use nuclear engines I'm sure that russian ones should use coal engines and they will have pipes with smoke hehe...
Nice idea
A T-64 with ERA, Uranium shells, Nuclear reactor. What else can you expect?
Will it have isotople (spellcheck) to prevent the big explosion when destroyed?
Afaik no ZH Gens specific units, powers or upgrades will be in ROTR, so there will likely no Isotope Upgrade to prevent the reactor overload.
Uh oh... so different from SW.
Okay, once the Generals Challenge is available I guess I need to be familiarize with units in each Generals.
So I need a new strategy soon for multiplayer....
There will be no Generals Challenge in ROTR.
'suffers drastic brain damage'
oh, I knew that...
it looks awesome
where is another battle master in big size..? they all looks so small for me.. smaler than crusader tank..
The Battlemaster, in RL the Type 88, IS a small Tank :P
Type 59D!
I would say type-96A instead, they are near match of Crusader (M1A1) and a type 59d cannot hopefully match a M1A1, while type 96 A is a near equal match with M1A1 in head-on battles.
Adding a IR search light like in shockwave is an good idea it will make it better
Why ad IR search light when it already had Thermal-Imaging scope?
what is that on top of the turret ? the one that looks like a TOW .
It's a big fat machine gun. :P
A lil sun inside a lil chinese tank.
Nah, the Chinese use Nuclear Fission, Nuclear Fusion is up to the USA. But yeah, you get the point.
Since China is described as the "leading nuclear power" in the Generals and US fusion reactor is called "Cold Fusion Reactor", it is certain that the Chinese one it "Hot/Thermal Fusion" reactors (smaller, but have much more radiation), and in this case, they are more like sun than other reactors. How can China become "leading" in the nuclear technology while their reactors are less advanced than American reactors.
not bad, i think a new type of chinese tank, like the Type 99 would be better.
it looks like they just pimped it out
