Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

dont take me wrong this unit looks AMAZING and a very great idea,
but personally i wish it was an A-10 instead of drone...

From my experience of playing other mods, it would be difficult for SWR to implement A-10s to the standard of their other units

A buildable A-10 would have to be considerably weaker than the one used by the Gen Power; it would no longer do any real justice to the awesomeness of the plane. Also, we would probably have to scale it down and make it look pathetic because its long wings wouldn't fit into an airfield slot otherwise. In fact, the HK was originally meant to be based on the Global Hawk until we realised that we'd either have to scale it down to the point where it would look ridiculous or have their wings clip into each other on the airfield, so we went for a custom design.

IMO drones are Aerial assassins also you should not get points for kills with them because the US does not admit to using them in combat. i hate the A-10 support powers i have seen, A-10 would have to be like an Airborne Epic unit, the aircraft has the potential to kill about a hundred tanks before running out of Ammo, the A-10 is meant to loiter not quick strike so all of the support powers, make a mockery of the aircraft

Why wouldn't a general be credited for using drones to attack, you're stating you shouldn't earn any generals promotions from using drones, I don't need to go into details as to why that is ridiculous, you're mixing reality and fantasy land, an A-10 wouldn't kill "about a hundred tanks before running out of ammo" then claiming you shouldn't be rewarded any promotions for using drones because America doesn't admit it?

This is a game and ROTR team is doing a damn good job at maintaining the balanced and practiced roles of each faction, for the record, the A-10 general power isn't meant for anything other than hammering a hardened location or defensive/offensive clusters of units.

100+ bonus attack against schools and orphanages, 10%+ more coverage on CNN?

The things stream to CNN and Fox; 10% The cost of every tank or building it destroys and 200% the price of every infantryman turned to bloody giblets with it.

Hitting civilians with it triples your income on desert and some winter maps and completely cuts it out on temperate or if you or your enemy destroys an important monument with it.

I dont think this unit so stupid to attack schools and orphanages unless the coward terrorists hide and fire them in this case might some negative side effects.

Sadfully they are always more civilian casualties in war and this is a universal truth

True, historically the only war I can think of where more soldiers died than civilians before the 1980's is World War I and that dreadful conflict was more pointless than most.

i have a question, does this take a slot in the airfield like other planes or does it act like the harrier(just flying and hovering above everything)?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+2 votes

Functionally, this thing works just like any other USA aircraft. You build them on the airfield, you order them to do their thing and they return to repair and rearm.

is this drone as strong as the frogfoot? cause if it is, i can now have something to base rape with

It's nowhere near as destructive as the Frogfoot. For one, it doesn't have any splash damage (not a USA thing by design), carries only four missiles and is only truly effective against vehicles whereas the Frogfoot basically just drops one large blob of indiscriminate destruction onto a circular area.

Hello SWR. I have a question. Will Raptor change it's role? Because this unit essentially také his current role. Thanks for answer.

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote
MARS2588 Creator
MARS2588 - - 958 comments

The Raptor is still designed as a multirole aircraft, meaning it can reliably kill infantry, vehicles and structures, but always at the risk of overkill due to using all missiles at the same time. It's more versatile and packs a good punch against every kind of target and benefits from countermeasures and the pilot feature. It is also the only USA jet that can take on helicopters/other jets and kill them effectively whereas the HK is very specialised but excellent as a vehicle killer.

Description

"This, my friends, is one of today's highlights: What you're looking at here is the AQ-360 Hunter Killer UCAV, the first -fully- autonomous military aircraft in the world. The state-of-the-art computer system that resides inside this machine is brought to us by some of our most renowned AI researchers and it's right over at Langley AFB where the artificial mind is merged with a lean and mean, all-American airframe made of lightweight but highly durable polymer materials. I know that some of you are thinking right now, but rest assured: There's always a way to pull the plug in case they ever try to go SkyNet on us and the AI itself is still way less intelligent than your average Army PFC. The HK can hold up to four Maverick air-to-ground missiles which makes it an exceptional tank-killer and ideal for close air support missions that are deemed too dangerous to risk the lives of our combat pilots. All of you Chair Force fighter and bomber jocks out there don't need to worry though; your jobs are safe! The Hunter Killer is purely designed to take on ground vehicles, so all that sweet dog-fighting and bomb-dropping is still up to you guys."
