Installation Procedure: ZH 1.04 -> Rise of the Reds 1.85 -> Rise of the Reds 1.86 -> Latest Rise of the Reds 1.87
This mod is an Overhaul-style mode of ROTR - a reimagining of the formula in a more balanced and fun way for online play. It adds many new units and abilities more balance changes. The aim of the mod is to change the way you perceive the gameplay of Rise of the Reds 1.87 to something that is more similar to Zero Hour and other classic C&C games.
In the new RC1.0 Version, there will be 15 Generals for you to play with, from the Russia's Zhukov with his Tactical ICBMs of Doom, to sneaky Secret Police Jin, he is always on watch.
This patch can only be played online if all other players have the patch. This patch will not corrupt your 1.87 installation - the Babushka's Revenge launcher is completely compatible with original ROTR and all other SWR mods like Shockwave.
You can use the Radmin VPN service to join multiplayer game (more information on the download)
Q: I want to install Babushka's Revenge, but I cannot find v1.87 whatsoever!
A: The v1.87 Rise of the Reds can be found on Swr-productions.com OR on the official Babushka's Revenge discord. Out of respect to the original creators of Rise of the Reds, I am not allowed to freely provide the download for this version publicly.
Q: Me and my friends are having mismatches? What's wrong?
A: Check your versions before you play. Everyone should have the latest version. That is usually the issue but sometimes the mod mismatches due to having AI. Finally, sometimes the game mismatches for misc. reasons. There's not much you can personally do about that (or I for that matter)
Q: The mod is looking really weird... all the UI is screwed up...
A: Usually the issue is either some sort of WIDESCREEN addon. Remove any widescreen addon and browse the addons section for BR-compatible widescreen addons. For example there is the official widescreen addon from ROTR.
Q: There's invisible units, structures and other weird graphics.
A: You have not installed the game properly. It must be installed in the following order: ZH 1.04 -> ROTR 1.85 -> ROTR 1.86 -> ROTR 1.87 v2.0 -> Babushka's Revenge, as shown above ^^^. If you have any difficulties, contact us on the Discord :)
Q: Where are the 15 Generals? I'm in Skirmish and I can only see the original 5 factions.
A: The generals are found in-game, select them from your command center.
Q: Will there be a campaign/challenge mode?
A: The answer is it is PLANNED.
Q: Will there be navy?
A: Maybe... it's unlikely you will see new maps, and the full navy roster would take a long time to fill out due to lack of models and hard to balance nature of it. However you can be sure they will appear in some missions ;)
Q: This thing is unbalanced or something? WTF?
A: If you have any sort of balance concerns of any sort, use the Babushka's Revenge discord, in the pvp-feedback channel. However, keep in mind that there is a general design philosophy behind the creation of this mod and we reserve the right to all changes of course.
Q: Is there/Will there be new Tech Buildings?
A: Yes. no i'm not gonna spoil them here ;)
Q: Will there be new epic units of some sort?
A: Probably not. There is very little space for epic units in Skirmish/Multiplayer modes but you may see them in future campaign missions or custom maps.
Q: How do I play multiplayer?
A: Follow the multiplayer guide in the Readme provided with the installation of the mod. It includes the installation of Radmin VPN, which is the software most current players are using to play BR. If you're still having trouble, we're very happy to help on the main discord.

This mod does not work. While I can start and play RotR 1.86 without any issues, the babushka mod v.1.0.1 crashes every time I'm trying to run it via its launcher. I installed babushka's mod into the same folder as RotR. I'm a bit confused, because you are talking about version "1.87", which doesn't exist on moddb, and neither on the offical homepage of RotR.
It does exist in SWR's forum ( Forums.swr-productions.com ), you have to register there to be able to download the RotR v. 1.87 beta, Babushka's mod needs that version, it really doesn't work with 1.86.
The registration is free, it's an open beta, so anyone, who downloads their mod, becomes an unofficial beta tester. You're free to ignore everything (you don't need to report bugs) and just play, beta testing is fully optional.
Also on the official RotR website, there is a link to their forum, but honestly it's hidden behind the word "here", look for "(remember that you need a forum account to access this)", you'll know, that you're in the right spot, when you find it, you have to go through two entries of update articles, it's in the second one. Unfortunately one has to know exactly, what they're looking for to actually find it. SWR won't make it easier for anyone.

Don't be surprised that it doesn't work when I've clearly written everywhere it REQUIRES v1.87.
Finally, 1.0.1 requires 1.0
So you want me to either register on Discord or the swr forums, just to get this tiny patch, for real? No way. It looks like somebody deleted the mediafire links to the patch outside the two sources you mentioned here, on the comments. Not cool, bros.

Also, like ZiftEnigma pointed it out, Rise of the Reds is still Hunter's intellectual property so even an alternative version of it will have to play by his rules. This is how copyrighting works.
v1.87 is not tiny, it adds a multitude of units and structures, and new abilities. It's been out for almost 2 years which is why my sub-mod, and other community patches are based off of it.
Remember it has to be PB 2.0 (the LATEST).
You can 100% get it off our Discord, it's always up there, plus you can get help installing, feedback, play with others online.
PLUS, I did NOT create the rules. I am not allowed to distribute it via Moddb by request of the ORIGINAL creator of Rise of the Reds who intends to continue to develop his mod.

Yes there's two, one of them is included with the install of 1.0
You can also join the other radmin or future radmins by joining the Discord. There you can also find people to play games with.
