For those who don't know or are perhaps confused on the subject... ReShade is a tool that is provided to enhance just about any game but must be downloaded and installed independently. Once done, you can then take my personal configuration and apply it to FoC, getting the affects seen here. If you wish to check out the software, you can do so here:
The video really doesn't do the ReShade changes justice... With compression degrading the final quality, it's difficult to see the screen sharpening and improved anti-aliasing. *Sigh* Oh well I guess... At least the bloom and flares are visible.
Also worth noting that the original EaW lens flares were totally removed. They were not the greatest anyway so I've removed them, even should you chose to not use ReShade. They weren't post processing effects anyway...they were basically just billboarded planes with textures on them and looked bad IMO.
Back the **** up, you can't just say "Yo bro I've got a cool new reshade preset" and then show it on one menu battle and then one scene while panning around a space station and say THAT'S ALL FOLKS! while uploading it to moddb, which has a terrible terrible compression system.
Upload that **** to youtube man. 1080p 60fps all across the sky. New fauna looks amazing btw, keep up the ambient upgrades! They really add to the game.
As the mod author though, I can do that... Perhaps I should just to torture you. Lol. However, just for you, I'll upload a better version to my YouTube channel tomorrow. There isn't much reason to show a full skirmish match really so don't expect more than some panning around and changing the setting on and off for comparison. Though, I might just play through the menu scene and a ground battle once on and once off then composite them side by side... We'll see.
Absolutely amazing.
One thing though, that planet in the background needs to be about 10x bigger. And further away.
When moving the camera around you can tell it's small and really close like vanilla.
Yeah, the game's limitations with depth is quite annoying. However, moving it farther away would place it outside the sky dome. I'll play around with getting a more realistic parallax effect with planets at some point but it's not top of the priority list at the moment.
Check out Jeroenimo's latest screens with the Tie defender. It's got this huge blue planet in the background, it makes space maps about 1000x more immersive.

That's some nice wood you got there.
I was young...and needed money.

Your mod looks stunning.
Thanks!

The problem is that this is on my Yavin map...so there's already a large red planet above you as you play. Yavin IV needs to be small in this case.
Ah in that case, forget i said anything.
Keep up the great work :)
